Installed Wasabi w/ WiiClip, but won't read game copies- Wii updates= 3.3u
I have just finished installing a Wasabi (with a presoldered WiiChip) for my D2C Wii and I get a green light- yeah! However, I have tried 2 games (on 2 kinds of DVDs) and neither are working. It spins and tries to read the disc, but always says "Unable to Read Disc". Originals work. I thought I had read something about a software update, but I don't know anything about it. My Wii has been updated to 3.3u. Can I "un-update"? or is there another way I can fix my problem? Thanks so much!

Try an unpatched game to test. You are probably using a trucha signed game and thats why it doesn't work on the 3.3U wii.

could also be media/software/burner related so just incase.
Media & Software Recommendations:
-----------------------------------------------------------
The best Media is Verbatim DVD-R , Made in Japan or Made in Singapore
Alternatively Taiyo Yuden Premium Line TYG02, TYG03 Made in Japan works well.
For best burn results use a Pioneer 111
For software [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register] It is a free software and works very well. Burn all iso images at 4x

hey spyman buddy I've seen you suggesting my favorite burner........but with the blank media, I will highly recommend the philips DVD-R instead.....for some strange reason the verbatim does not work properly with the D2C chipset....this is just my opinion.

hmm strange, I havent really had any issue with verbatim, but where its made is important. Made in Japan/Singapore is usually the best compatibility, where Taiwan/Indai are the worst compatibility.
Do you know what type of dye the Philips uses?
