I have a chipped (wasabi) NTSC wii that can run properly backup games (PAL and NTSC). I bought a PAL wii fit, and I cannot run the game. I just get a black screen.
some games have REQUIRED updates, like how SSBB, MK, and SMG have the dual layer support upgrade, odds are you need whatever update thats on it, outside of that, and maybe a higher firmware, it should work ESP if its a original...
My wasabi is at the latest 1.4fw.
I did the NTSC wii fw upgrade to 3.2E, and afterwards to 3.3E. In both cases the result is the same: black screen, and wii has to be reset.

ntsc updates are 3.2u or 3.3u , E is europe is your wii europe ? then you need the pal version of the game. Or if your system is ntsc-usa then you need the ntsc-usa version the pal version wont work.
