Noob here, Requires help - Wiihacks

Hi there all, my name is James, im new to the wii hacking enviroment and have a quick question.

Ive just purchased the D2pro9 V2 chip and im preparing to solder it into place in the next couple of days, i believe my wii is of the D2B chipset and that i only need to solder 5 connections, im not sure if the D2pro9 V2 chip is running the latest software so ive gone to the D2pro site and it has the 1.4 download to burn to disk but it only says its for the 9 wire and above setup, does the 5 wire setup require the 1.4 download or does it just work for all pinouts on the D2pro9 V2 ?

Yep.. that's all u need to do..
solder the 5 wires & u are set

U wont need the update 1.4 on a D2B drive
that update was to fix the playability of DUAL LAYER
games on the new D2C2 drives.. Enjoy & have fun w/the mod..

Thanks again, well ive installed the 5 wire version of my D2pro9 V2 chip, ive put everything back together, powered up and all seemed fine....., But the drive would not spin up, ive tried to put a game in but nothing

Any ideas

did you block off all other points, so that they are not touching at all ? the clip leads are double sided.
