Wasabi with Wii-clip v5; drive won't spin
I soldered the wasabi to the wii-clip. when connected to the board and the extra wire soldered, the drive does not spin and the light on chip stays red(I have C chipset). Saw on the sight about connecting up a K-point to Reset. What are these points, they are not on the diagram. Also, if that does not work what are some other fixes? Soldering directly to the board.

K point is the middle leg of the reset switch..
I have isntalled 3 wasabi's (I try to stay away from them, I dont buy them myself)..
but when people buy it & want me to install it.. then I'd do it.. but out of these 3..
Only 1 worked from 1st try.. the other 2.. I had to connect point K (it works well )
Try it out

Yes.. I wouldnt buy them to install on my own Wii or to work with them..
I havent yet tried Wasabi 2 ..maybe they are better than Wasabi 1.
But those 2 I installed they wouldnt work unless I had point K connected..
I dont know.. they are weird.. but it worked fine after point K was connected..
Only one Wasabi install worked fine without connecting point K..
All of those installs was on a D2C v1 drive..

Have you ever successfully installed the wasabi with the wiiclip?
I'm a little confused, could you post a photo of the wasabi with the k(reset) connected; don't know where the (middle leg of reset switch is located). I'm guessing its the k point on the wasabi chip connected to somewhere else.

OK I'll give it a try. I'll report back if it works. Hope this wiiclip works; if not will try it without clip.
