Now that's impressive. I do wonder if there's gonna be a site to dl them or its all gonna be done through Xbox live. Also how they're gonna fight with the piracy issue.

Didn't disks put a buffer between hackers hacking the system directly, I think this will make it easier on pirates.
Well the 360's main hack for a long time was a modded DVD firmware that really only allowed piracy, no homebrew whatsoever, and I believe this specific hack was originally discovered for the Xbox 1's DVD drive but was ported to the 360 in the end. Considering MS has not been able to stop modding the firmware with any revisions to the hardware they may be just trying to forgo issue by omitting the drive in the first place. Although if the system is ever cracked at all it will likely be cracked wide open all at once like this... Unless they find a way to force updates for newer games while changing encryptions like on the ps3 which has crippled the ps3 scene for almost a year since its initial mod...Quote:
