How to update Wii firmware without the update deleting my homebrew channel & USBLoade

I want to update my wii's firmware but I am told that it will delete my HBC and my USB Configurable Loader. How do I upadate it without this happening. And how do I update it without doing it through the Wii?

Thank you guys and I hope you can help me.

You don't need to update your System Menu. Games and channels are not dependent on what System Menu you have. If something isn't working, tell us and we can help you fix it.

Well I bought the new Call of Duty Black Ops and my screen freezes when it loads. I was told that I have to update my firmware but that I would lose my HBC and my USB Configurable Loader as well.

I also tried dumping the game in my HDD to have it load from my HDD and I get the same thing, a freezing black screen when it loads.

Another thing, When I start up my Wii. On the window that displays the game I will be playing I get this message "Wii System Update". I hate admit, but I know I am being scammed because the person who installed my HBC and USB Loader says I need to do update my system or else it wont work and of course, it will cost me $$.

You don't need to do an update. Games use IOS's to run, and the System Menu doesn't matter. You need to install Priiloader to block updates, then follow this guide. Do the part for disc loading and USB loading so both are available to you.
