Wii does not recognize 3.5 "HDD ENCLOSURE...

I used my Wii for like months with my 4gb pendrive. Everything was perfect. Then I decided to buy one of thoses HDD Enclousures, so I could use the 80gb hard drive from my old PC as a external device.

I formated it on WBFS and browsed the games. When I turned my Wii on, there was two large grany stripes going up on my tv. Didn't really care and try to load the games anyway.. But when I press "load" on usb loader, it just won't recognize the device. It justs tell me to put in the correct USB Port (it already is) and that's it

I already tried to use another Hard Drive inside the enclosure, without any sucess.
My Wii Serial is LU157832288, don't know if it helps.

The enclosure is more likely the cuplrit than the drive. Many, but not all are supported. The latest CIOS provide better compatibility; if you're behind, you might consider updating & trying again. Make certain that your partition is PRIMARY and ACTIVE. FYI, as an aside formatting a drive to WBFS is no longer recommended. It will still work fine, but it makes troubleshooting more difficult as it is a non-native filesystem for PCs. FAT32 is my personal recommendation, others like NTFS. Guide for fat in my sig.

can you tell me what is the last CIOS? My Wii firmware is 4.3U, but I don't really know about the CIOS. I'm total newbie at this wii thing.. thanks for the help.

If you haven't already, I would recommend doing your softmod with our "any wii" guide in my sig if you haven't already. Guessing if you're still on 4.3, you used someone elses guide.

yeah, in fact a friend of mine helped me with the softmod stuff. I going to try your guide now, thanks again.

Have you formatted your drive yet?
