Do you have a 360? If so, this doesn't apply. But you're making a lot of claims about what you've read on the 360's hardware, even though they've cleaned things up (there are little to no RRoD's on the new Jaspers)

This post is meant in no offense... And now that I look back, I apologize for posting the definition of opinion, that was a bit over the top.
hardware specs and issues aside, the software is
what defines the system's success.
I bought a Wii as soon as I heard that "Monster Hunter
Tri" was gonna be wii exclusive. And I'm sure there are
many gamers out there, like myself, that would purchase
systems for very specific titles. ( let's say... a hypothetical
FF7 remake was 360 exclusive, I'm sure many would shut
up and just buy a 360 =D )
And paying respect to the thread's topic, I'd like to say that...
well, Final Fantasy titles have really grown bigger than anyone
could have ever anticipated. Square's different series and genres
of titles is simply a strategy to further expand their audience
group.
Final Fantasy Disidia was NOT a "horrid" game, it's awsome!
I mean, more female characters wouldn't have hurt, but
awsome none-the-less. Its game system was rather complicated
and took me a good 30, 40 hours to learn and excercise it well,
and I speak the language too, so perhaps you weren't able to
experience the game at its full capacity? It's not a game you
can just hit random buttons and equip random things and expect
to succeed =S ( don't take it as an insult though, this is just
my blind assumption )
It's story... well... it's a fighting game... I didn't expect too much
to begin with. You don't really expect titles like Tekken or Street
Fighter to have mind-blowing plots do you?
As for other Final Fantasy titles such as the crystal chronicle
series, I believe the audience is more of a younger group.
It's like, making you do a grade five's math problem, of course
you would find it boring =/
If all games were targeted at the same age group, wii wouldn't
have its success today, and kids would simply be exposed to
violent games that make them kill their parents, right?
( more than one case where Halo titles did that to our young'ns =D )
