Thanks Ithian, understood but I am going to ask another silly question now. As I do not have USB capabilities and run all back-ups from disc, will these or could these levels be available as an ISO to burn onto a disc?
I ask because I do not have the ability to run riivolution either as my Wii is not net enabled, probably never will be and this is my understanding of that particular app.

Thanks again for your reply and I am gutted that I will probably never get to play these fantastic levels......looks like a great project!

Check out the NSMB link in my sig. I think you'll find some answers there. Short answer is they can be made to work on disc using the same method as usb loaders, but this won't be made available by the designers.

Riivolution does have an online mechanic but it isn't required to use. Link for that on the NSMB editor page as well.

    Thumbs up

Yes! Been waiting for something like this for what seems like forever! My uncle will be excited. He and my aunt love this game! Though they call Yoshi Horsey and Magikoopa becomes Witchiepoo. Either way they will be excited for this. Nice that we have riivolution as well. I hope that this is a success and spawns Newer Super Mario Bros Wii 2, 3, 4, 5, 6... Well you get the idea...

@Syco45645- To my knowledge there are currently SMB1, NSMLand1&2, and SME(xtreme) public projects in development in addition to the Newer team. There are also other projects happening but they're a bit more private for the time being.

@snyperthugs- They're shooting for end of this year. It sucks but the team is trying to make this a true quality release, and not just another fan-made knockoff. According to one of the lead guys they're about halfway there.

Remakes are cool and I will play them, but I prefer completely new levels. Thanks for the tip. Will have to check them out. Kids will be excited!
