Question New Super Mario Bros. "Green Screen"

    Hi all...

So i've been trying to get NSMB working on my wii (version 4.1U)... I've followed all the instructions from this thread:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/d2pro-line/2...tsc-d2pro.html

When I try to update to ios53 (currently v1042) i get an error message that "the file is not available" even though i have followed all the instructions to the letter.

When I try to load NSMB (the patched NTSC version off DVD, got it from thepiratebay) I get a green screen for a few seconds then it returns to the wii menu.

my wii was already softmoded before this... CoD modern warfare and madworld work flawlessly... ghostbusters doesn't (but never looked into it because i didn't really want to play it).

but i do really want to play NSMB... how do i get it working? thanks for any help!

Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot.

    Hi racecarj, please try this:

hi, what i did was i downloaded a file called configurable USB loader (and followed the installation instructions), copy the files onto SD card, i then Formated my 16gb USB flash drive with WBFS, i then put the new super mario wii on it (iso).

put the USB drive either flash drive or HDD in the Wii's USB port, this has to be a certain port (or it did for me at least), if the Wii is laid down put in the bottom USB port, if the Wii is stood up in the stand put in the inside USB port, they are the same ports but trying to make it easy.

then put the SD card in the Wii, press homebrew channel and select the Configurable USB loader, it should then detect the USB device, and play any game you have installed (iso).

the only downsaide is you have to keep the SD card in the Wii with the USB loader on it to play games from your USB device.
