Maybe im an uber-noob. But what if you have Homebrew on 4.1 and the original New Super Mario Bros game. I purchased the original.. comes in a day or two. So it will attempt to force me to update to 4.2 .. and if I dont then I cant play it? Im confused a bit because some people say it plays fine on 4.1

So how did the update not happen?
if a game asks you to update, its not because you have a lower system menu, it because you have old/missing IOS files. All you need to do is install the IOS's and all will be fine.
NO game will force an update, NO game requires any particular System menu.
