Well we all know the Game Cube had many amazing, ground breaking titles. So now Nintendo with slumping Wii game sales, and the quality going down hill are bringing them back. So far I think only Pikmin, and Mario Tennis have been remade. These games don't look any different, and there is nothing new in them at all. Except OMG guess what, incase the titles didn't give it away they have changed the controls for Wii owners. Why not just buy the Game Cube game for 10$ at a used game store and use a Game Cube controller? I think if Nintendo wants this to work out they need to lower the release price of these games and release the best Game Cube game ever. Luigi's Mansion ;D, I love that game. I think I will be satisfied if they release a new control Luigi's Mansion game. They could come up with a wicked control scheme for that game. Tell me what you think about this new Nintendo idea ;D.
Having never had a gamecube, I had never heard of Pikmin. So a "re-release" of sorts was nice. I enjoy the game and even more so I enjoy the controls. While I didn't shell out the $30 for the game, that seems to be a reasonable price point for it's release. Well, relative to what they are charging for some other dreck anyhow.
I like your stand point for the non GC owning community. I still believe that if they are going to do this they need to release better titles. Luigi's Mansion, and Mario Kart double dash.
Pikmin is a very secluded first party, with many not knowing what it is aside from SSBB. I think maybe they could branch out, but also have no doubt they are going to, and it won't be long before we see MK: DD and Luigi's Mansion (I've never played that game :P), and also things like the older Metroids ^_^
EDIT: I'm not sure if MK: DD WILL get rereleased though, because MK:Wii is out. That would be like rereleasing Melee....Although melee is regarded as the best brawl game by many, so that could be a great idea. Hmmmm.

It would not be the best Brawl game you n00b. Only the most recent installment is actually Brawl, the other ones were just super Smash Brother games. Also Metroid games were on the NES and SNES. Metroid Prime one and two were on the Game Cube.
Typo, I ment SSB lol, and GC metroids are still "older metroids" lol, but GC was implied since that is what the topic is about xD
