    Hi there,

First off, many, MANY thanks for this guide, you're making the world a better place

I have managed to follow this guide so far without any problems, however I am now stuck, where I need to enable the system menu hacks in Priiloader, I have activated "Block Disc Update" and "Block Online Update", however the "No-Delete HAXX,JODI,DVDX,DISC,DISK,RZDX" hack is not present, I don't want to reset my Wii in case I lose the homebrew channel, any tips/ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    [EDIT]

Sorry, just realised this isn't needed as I downgraded to 4.1 Good luck to everyone, and keep up the A-mazing work!

hey ... i used annew sd card tand this sd card worked before to mod with 4.2... and i used the sd card formatter on this page but my card IS SDHC, would that be a problem? I thought 4.2 was great with sdhc. fml.

That sd card may or may not work in any particular given situation.
The only thing that we can positively recommend when it comes to complicated processes that involve altering the internal system of the wii console, are the 2gig regular sandisk sd cards. That is what nintendo puts their logo on and is stocked in the shelves of stores along with the other nintendo accessories.
Some folks have success, some don't. We can only recommend what the console was designed to work with.

    i have problem with softmodding

Hello. at the beginning of s-modding i saw that usbgecko is not found .... hanging.
As i understand it happens because of gc-controller (i have not it). I tried to find it but there is no market selling gc-controller in Russia. Help me. is it means that i cant softmod without gc-controller???

    p.s. Sorry for my english.

When trying to perform this fix can you use a backed up lego Indiana game or does it HAVE to be the retail? Same with Smash Brothers? I ask this cause I am short on cash at the moment. In the past I was short on cash and had to wait to buy Twilight Princess but once it arrived, the bootmi installer was out and I didnt need the game anymore to do the hack.

Also, Thank you for the help before however I am still seeking out help for my post on page 25 of this thread. I would really appreciate advice from Mau or whoever may help. Overall, I am still able to play backed up games using my uloader but I cant get my homebrew stuff like the Nintendo 64 emulator so I can play my mario64.

OK so I went and did everything with a sd 2.0 gb (NON HC) works awesome. can load everything fine... BUT when i get to the step to do the backup my wii goes black screen and freezes up - forcing hard boot -

when i go to usbloader it freezes and forces hard boot.
when i go to backup it forces ^
When i use loadmii it goes ^
    ........................................
my wife gets frustrated with this while im researching saves the games to the sd card and formats the wii. Removing my wad installs from before and now all files

Any ideas? do i have to go through virgin 4.3 now??? =...(

    Update to my issue.

I was not able to get syscheck to run on my system. I tried installing it to the root of various SD cards formatted various ways and none would work. The Wii would not read the SD card from the wii menu. I happen to have a Uloader channel on my wii menu. Uloader will not load unless I have the SD card inserted from which I originally softmodded my 4.2 version wii. The Nand backup is still on that card too. When the card is inserted and I choose Uloader from the wii menu of channels Uloader opens and I can load a burned game. Well I replaced the .dol file on the SD card in the /apps/uloader folder with the .dol file from loadmii from the 4.3 fix download. Doing this made loadmii load up when I choose Uloader from the Wii Channel Menu. This gave me an idea. Since I could not get syscheck to run I tried putting the .dol file from the syscheck download in the /apps/uloader folder of my SD card like I did with loadmii. When I choose Uloader from the Wii Channel Menu syscheck now runs. So now I finally have a syscheck log to show you guys what is going on inside of my system.

Please keep in mind that I am new here and new to Wii modding. I dont mean to ask stupid questions. I have read and read and read some more till I have felt crosseyed. Please Help me out....I attached an image below which is a screenshot of my original SD cards file layout. This is root. There is also an image of the contents of the wad folder of the SD card. It contains all sorts of cIOS files.wii 2.JPG
