When I exited at this point the homebrew channel did not load.

Also and probably more importantly everything else has worked except the downgrade to 4.1. All 21 wad files loaded without error and there were 9/9 steps that took place but an ERROR message appeared.

Does this mean my machine will be bricked when I re-start? If so what happened as every step went well except step 4 - Hackmii Installer ( which is after the downgrade step ).

My kids will kill me if it is bricked.
What was the error? Did HBC install, or did it give you an error?

    Mauifrog please help.

I have Loaded all 21 wad files correctly and tried to downgrade. It followed9/9 step, but errored, can't remember message. Step 4 wouldn't load homebrew.

I have run Syscheck and the screen has froze and will not reset. The report shows via Excel:

This looks fine, try to run the hackmii installer again. What exactly happens?

Nothing it just sits there, I posted the screen data not too long back ( had to type in as cut & paste didn't work.

I think I am shagged as the screen is frozen and you cannot make out the report on the screen as it is unreadable.

Anything Maurifrog? I need to go to bed and think about what I will tell the kids if it doesn't re-boot. It seemed like a good idea.

    Maurifrog.

I will check in the morning if you have posted a response and say my prayers. Thanks for your help.

I couldn't sleep on it. I have re-booted the machine and it works. Yeeessssssss.

loadmii, neogamma and usb loader appear, but no homebrew channel.

I will run hackmii again and leave over night. Thanks and looking forward to any advice you may give.

    The tests results are in:

Using IOS versions: Installer: 34, HBC: 61, DVDX: 35

The Homebrew Channel: Can be installed
    DVDX: Can be installed
    Bootmii: Can be installed

    > Continue

    I press A and get:

    Main Menu

    Install The Homebrew Channel
    Install DVDX
    BootMii...

    View Copyright
    > Exit

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, Ian

    I'm in step 3 1/2 where I downgrade to 4.1, and here's the error:

    Installing Ticket
    Installing Title
    ERROR ES_AddTitleStart (-1035)
Error installing System Menu - Please double-check before restarting Wii!

    Installation aborted due to errors.

If you previously installed homebrew and it doesn't appear. Try the ''uninstall homebrew'' and then install it again.

One question I haven't seen Is it safe to delete Indiana PWNS save file after softmod is complete? I don't want that to be run again unless I need it.

after making a backup of your nand and saving it in a safe place, the best is to format the SD card.
