Unfortunately everytime they are set to primary and active. Guess mines just not compatible. Looks like my games stay on disk in many binders. I have about 400 games so I was looking to back them up to take less space and then I could just throw them into storage

Please report that, that Hdd is not compatible in the same thread. (The compatibility List, so others will know not to buy it.)

I have a seagate 3TB which I believe is not compatible. It reads and recognizes the drive and games but will not get past the first loading screen after the first warning screens. It'll just say loading then hang. Did this for black ops as well as MW3 by using direct from the computer method. Also tried backing uo World at war from the disk to the drive. Back uo said it completed successfully but the game would not load afterwards when I tried to play it. Tried using NTFS and FAT32 and same thing. Tried to format to WBFS but would not allow me to format a partition to it at all.

I did not know that it was those two problematic games, Did you try the Problematic games list? Link --->Problematic Games List.

That link should sort you right out. Please let us know if it worked or not.
Did you try loading those games with cios 250 with base ios 56 and or 249base ios 57.?

Thank you Cjizzle, For the link.

Those two games run from a cIOS with a base of 57. That explains your Loading..... freezes. If you followed the ANY Wii guide, set your loader to use 250.

I'm moving these posts back to the original thread, since this may not be a compatibility issue after all. If it does turn out to be incompatible, you can repost in the Compatibility list thread. Thanks!

Ok so big thanks to Jax as I do have it working and can say that the HDD is fully compatible. The only issue I am having now is backing my games up via disk. When I use Wii backup manager from my Pc It works fine. When I try to do it via disk and by using Loader GX it doesn't work. It'll say the games only like .5GB approx and when its finished backing it up it has a code dump as soon as I click on it. Any suggestions?

Why do all the links on the guide lead to invalid or deleted files?

I have a 1 TB Seagate Expansion Drive which is on the compatible list. I also have the latest USB Loader GX (v3.0) and am on 4.3U. I have softmodded my Wii according to mauifrog's "Softmod ANY Wii" guide.

When I try ripping a game to my hard disk, it says "0 GB free of -0.00GB." How do I solve that? I want to rip the games in the .iso format.

I have wads cIOS222-v4 and cIOS223-v4 installed (Hermes). Do I need to install any more wads? I'm a newbie, so don't go hard on me.

After softmodding I opted for NTFS.
The guide tells you to make the partition active.
I have only one partition on my USB drive and did NOT make it active.

Everything seems to be working fine.
    Is setting active still needed?
    And if yes, why?

    Thx!
