What is the Max I would need for a FAT32 Partition?

Hi, I don't post alot because the guides are so well constructed I never have needed any questions answered hardly.

----I have a New HDD 500gb that is on the compatable list. I would like to use it for the Wii but I do have a few files from the PC that I would like to store on it.
----I would like to partition it for FAT32 and NTFS
----I would also like to have all the space I would ever need in order to use the Wiiware and Nand capabiltites

My question is how much space do I need to allocate for the FAT32 partition?

NTFS is not a absolute must but it would be a plus to be able to archive a few files on.

    Thanks in advance,
    THE Cabinetmaster of the South.

    Hi Cabinetmaster.....

Looks like you replied to me (cos I was bottom of the thread) when you really wanted to put your question to Brian.......ain't no good asking me jack..... :-)

Try scrolling up the thread and replying to Brian's last post......(at least that's how I think it works.....)

    Best regards.....
    Mike

It's all good mike... I just replied to the General Thread not to any one person in particular. If I would've wanted to reply to a specific person I would have replied with a quote from that said persons last post or the post they made pertaining to my specific problem.

So, um yeah, just anyone that can give me some educated insight will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Um, now I may well be wrong here mate, but there are a gazillion threads around and some of them can be inactive for months.......meaning you might just assume no one gives a bugger about your problem.....

Whereas if you reply directly to Brian he'll get an email or some notification that you need help.....(being a moderator and all.....)

Least that's how it worked for me......he replied the next day......:-)

depending on how many WiiWare/VC games you have, and are likely to purchase in the future depends on how much you want to allocate for the FAT32 partition, even so, 5-10GB should be more than enough for NAND emulation in my opinion.

    Thank You Brian,

I will use EASEUS and place around 10GB for the FAT32 and place the rest in NTFS. I believe that should work for me.

Hi. I used hackmii letterbomb to install:
    BootMii public beta 6
    The Homebrew Channel 1.0.8

When I am on the Homebrew Channel it says I have iOS58 v24.32 installed.

I want to be able to use a USB HDD to backup my original games and play off the HHD from a Channel to make things easier.

Can someone please tell me if I can still use the guide here to do this or must I do something else.

    Thanks.

Follow this guide before you do anything: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html
You will need a USB loader (usbloader gx, wiiflow, cfgloader, etc.) and a channel forwarder for it if you want to launch it from a channel.
See the "Installing Loader and Forwarder Channels" spoiler of this guide for more information.

Basically, do the "Guide: Softmod ANY Wii" guide and then this one. You can skip to Part 2 of the "Guide: Softmod ANY Wii" guide, just be sure you created a backup of your Wii's NAND.

If you actually read this guide, you can see that all your questions have already been answered. (The first spoiler answers them, lol)

Wii: Mario Kart Wii Bundle (Black, 4.3U), SM: 4.1U, HBC: v1.0.8,
    cIOS: d2x v8 beta (r41), Priiloader: Priiloader v0.7, SDHC: SanDisk Ultra 16GB Class 6,
USB HDD: Seagate Expansion 500GB (ST905004EXA101-RK), Loader: USB Loader GX r1147

Seems I am just confused since when you follow the guide and you wan to install wiiflow, it says you must have
    1. Homebrew Channel
    2. At least one of the following: cIOS 222/223/224/249/250 (222 version of Wiiflow recommended)
but I have iOS58 v 23.34??? Guess I am confusing the iOS version with the cIOS version?

If you have followed a guide to mod your Wii prior to following this guide then you will have all the cIOS.
The HBC runs off of IOS 58....
