Trying to downgrade from 3.4 to 3.2

I downloaded the wii fix tools and placed the apps and wad folder on my SD card. Followed the steps in the downgrade guide and on step 5 the "cios_fix.wad" file is not there. Checked the download package and in the wad folder only the "IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad" is there. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Delete that post, it has multiple backup loaders in it.

I got the cios_fix.wad from the first download before the link was changed. I used it and followed the instructions and it all makes sense.

(Assuming 1.3 and 3 are the same.)

Now i have Wad Manager on the Wi start screen.

What the heck is a WAD?

Anyway- how do i downgrade? Step 10 just says:

Step 10 - Downgrade to 3.2 or whatever firmware you want. Make sure you choose the right region or you will semi-brick your Wii. (U = USA, E = Europe, J = Japan)
It doesnt say how to do anything to choose which region you have... Do i download the file in step 10 and run "cIOS-Downgrader_v1.2"? If that is it, do i use WAD Manager on the main Wii screen to run this?

Do i need to rename any file? I am not sure what this means:
MAKE SURE YOU RENAME THE FILE BOOT.DOL!
What miaeih said about the file missing helped a lot. This is why i had the problems... I must have been using another file.

Thanks for all of your help. Still on 3.4u and need to get off.

Yes step 10 means download that file and run it with the HBC. It is already in boot.dol format, so I will take that part out.

Thanks Chris. I put the file in the Apps folder and ran it with wad manager. It took a while but it worked. Thanks!

You might have to use a normal sd card 2gb or less.
