Quick point about step ten is not true. It will semi-brick wii but is not 100% correct. When i first downgraded (and had no idea what i was doing) i accidently installed 2.2j on a 3.4e wii. To may shock it operated as usual but everything was in Japanese. I quickly throught about where i went wrong, and safely upgraded to 3.2e.

please help, have followed the guide step by step but after step 7 ( even said no the the shop channel ) which seemed to install fine i can no longer access the Home brew channel. i've uninstalled this and reinstalled but just keep getting a black screen. i'm currently running version 3.4E and want to go back to 3.2

Some help. I have a new Wii and it has 3.4U
Did all steps correctly all the way to step 5 with no problems.
When I try to do step 6 (running IOS Downgrader) it goes to a black screen and doesn't do anything... I left it for about 10 minutes and nothing happened... I decided to run the WAD Manager to install the files in step 4 and 5 again but the screen goes black and does nothing...
There is no semi-brick because I still can access the system settings and everything else works fine...

Don't downgrade it would be stupid... didn't you read that the guide is outdated??
also, change your nickname

The guide is out of date, but it is still smart to downgrade.

No it is not, especially for LU64+ models... internet can be installed seperately on 4.1:
it is in the bottom of the guide, but change your name first
