i did get an http error but now I am trying the other downgrader and going to 3.2u which seems to be working. will it still be semi bricked if it manages to downgrade to 3.2u?

EDIT: The other way downgraded my firmware to 3.2U. I am in Wii System Settings now looking at it! Does this mean I am not semibricked? If this means nothing then whats a sure way to tell if I am semi bricked or not?

well, I am now able to watch DVDs on my wii so I am guessing I am not bricked at all. I was not able to install DVDx before the downgrade but this time it installed right away and is playing a burnt movie at the moment with no problems! Thanks for the help guys

okay.. asumming i do.. n i have a firmware 3.1 and i need 3.2.
i go into the homebrew channel, and with that single file u linked, its supposed to upgrade my firmware? well i tried, n its kinda not workin at all.
plus the fact that u say to rename. but the file is already named BOOT.DOL

well this Ultimate thread is pretty confusing someone doin this the first time.
maybe somebody will swoop in here n clarify things...

Try my thread in my sig.

Once you are safely downgraded you can stop if you dont care about starfall or Gamma.

i just went into wii setting and I changed a few things around just to see if I could and it let me do everything. I do not think I am semi bricked, though you are the expert. What one thing should I do to see if I am semi bricked? I did stuff such as changing my consoles nickname, date, and screen size..

i only saw that when I was installing one of the files during the process of downgrading. I have not seen it since. Is there something I could do to provoke it to make sure I do not have a semi bricked wii?
