How to play out-of-region games (disc playing)

Hi my first tut hope it's useful.

I've seen in many, many post of users asking about how to play their out of region backups, It's pretty easy, let me show you how

This will only work with burnt backups (disc playing)

For those of you without Neogamma:

The best way to do this is getting Neogamma, because the settings are easier to understand.

    Get Neogamma R9 v41
Then install it with wad manager
    Thanks to emuhack and YOCJ

For those of you with Neogamma:
Many times you will find out that after burning your games and loading them through neogamma or other backup launchers the game will be black and white, or scrolling from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. By setting the options you can stop that.

Here is what you have to do:

If you got neogamma r9 or --> :
    1. Get to options
    2. Get to wii options
    3. Change:
    -Boot lang (language): Console default
    -Force Video: Wii
    -Patch Video: All
    -VIDTV Patch: Yes
    -Patch coutry str.:Yes
    -Altern Dol: Disc
    -Search Patches: No
    -Block IOS Reload:No
    4. Play

For neogamma r9 or <-- (It`s best to update) :
    1.Get region options wii
    2.Change:
    -Boot lang (language): Console default
    -Force Video: Wii
    -Patch Video: All
    -VIDTV Patch: Yes
    -Patch coutry str.:Yes
    3. Play

    To save the settings :
    Neogamma r9 -->
    1. Options
    2. General Options
    3. If you have an SD card inserted:
    Turn save config to yes.
If you have a USB device inserted:
Turn storage device to: USB using IOS and save config to yes.

    Neogamma r9 <--
    1.Config options
2.If you have an SD card inserted:
    change save config to yes
If you have a USB device inserted:
change storage device to USB and change save config to yes

*That will create a folder called neogamma in you SD/USB, to play with these settings again you need to have your device inserted in the wii.*

    Enjoy

Just wanted to say TY for this guide! I had tried a Pal game on my US machine using both force to ntsc480i and 480p, both resulted in green screen. After reading this, I tried force to Wii only, just to see what would happen , still green screen. I then used the settings you layed out and the game finally worked perfectly =)

    This should definitely be stickied!!!

Anyways, TY, you helped me for sure and if given the opportunity I will link this, I hope this gets the sticky treatment! I think this would help a lot of people!!!

well i got a problem i have the pal version of legend of zelda twilight princess and i soft mod my version 4.3u wii so i can play backup's and i followed your guide here with the settings you have posted here and instead of my game screening being all gray and white with the screen being off picture now all i see is a big green picture and nothing else. now i download Neogamma R9 v41 as well the one i used before that was giving me the gray screen and all was a older model of neogamma.

A frozen green screen despite changing the Force Video, Patch Video, and VidTV settings usually means that the out-of-region game cannot be played on your Wii as it is configured.

will settings work for both PAL and NTSC?

I have a question, please - you mention saving the settings - how will this affect all my usual NTSC games, if I try to run them with this configuration? Any difference? (Most of what I have are NTSC, with just a few PAL.)
