How does it not make sense ? It's still about playing out of region games .. Sure..it's not about Neogamma , but it's not completely off topic
Looks like Wii Free Loader was blocked since fw 3.3 Wii Freeloader - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Why could this be useful ? Softmod 4.3 Wii's with games from another region ( e.g Japanese Wii with Indiana Jonel PAL )
But..looks like this Free Loader thing is dead . That's why i was asking if there's a new similar disk. Would a modchip allow booting a PAL game on a JAP console > Firmware is 4.3

    hi there

I recently softmodded my wii using the softmod any wii guide from here, but as of yet have not been able to run any backups through the disk backup channel which uses Neogamma 8 ios249 rev 21, updated to rev 21 to see if it would make a difference, ive tried old and new games, burnt at lowest speed through imgburn on tdk dvd-r dvds and checked that my wii has the older chipset. all i seem to get is random dvd read errors (mainly 1179 and 1167)

so was kinda wondering if anyone else has had this problem and could maybe give me some advice on where to go from here?

all advice appreciated and thanks for reading

My guess would be your Wii isn't old enough to play disc backups but you said you checked. What type of percentages and drives did the drive database give as your possible drive?

it gave a 100% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1).

Hmmm...Then you are definitely good. Have you tried using NeoGamma R9 yet instead of the backup channel? Maybe the Wii doesn't like the discs you are using?
