    1. on a mac, how to I format my USB drive to FAT? I know how to do it on pc but
    is mac different?

    2. If I want WiiFlow, do I still follow this tutorial for formatting my drive to WBFS?

    Thank You in advance.

    Hi

I'm using WiiFlow on my Wii and set it all up using my MacBook Pro. I run WiiFlow from an SD card, merely because I'm not yet up to speed with loading it onto my USB HDD. It works well, as do the other apps I been experimenting with.

It took me a little while, but eventually figured out what the processes are and where all the files need to be located on the Sd card so they all work as they should from HBC.

Have you read the tutorials that can be found on this site? That's basically where I learnt what I needed to do. If you haven't, may I suggest you do. There's many threads here that will help you, but the ones I found the most helpful for me are

    http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...-settings.html

I've still a long way to go, but am learning quickly.

    Cheers
    Stephen

I get no notice about no wbfs drive instead i get a cover flow of a bunch of blank wii covers. In the usb-loader folder i changed the disable_format from 1 to 0 in config.txt but still the same thing happens. any help?
    Hi

I'm facing the exact same problem, how did you solve this? Thanks

    Thumbs up

thanks, that helped me a lot, anyone knows something about hacking virgin 4.3e without a game? maybe a bannerbomb, because its quite difficult in now days to find the lego indiana jones and the yu-gi-oh! game, nintendo has stopped their production, and many many people has brand new Wii with the 4.3E software, and people who have one of those games requires a lot of money for them

I hired Lego Indiana Jones from my local video hire store.

I've also zipped WBFS for Mac v1.2 and ConfigurableUSB so the files are more easily available. Last I checked, any mediafire link offering WBFS1.2 was broken.

    1) Format your hard drive to FAT, NOT "Free Space". When I tried Free Space, it didn't work.

    2) Once your hard drive is formatted, install ConfigurableUSB(zipped) onto your SD card. There are two important folders to transfer to your SD card:
    a) The folder titled "usb-loader<root" goes into the root of the card. Rename the folder to "usb-loader" once in the root of your SD card. SD:\usb-loader
    b) Under the "apps" folder simply drag cfgUSBloader folder into the "apps" folder on your SD card. SD:\apps\cfgUSBloader

    3) Insert your SD card into your Wii. Connect your hard drive. Turn on the Wii and load the Homebrew Channel (HBC) and load ConfigurableUSBLoader.

    4) When you start it a notice will appear that no WBFS drive has appeared. It will ask if you want to format your drive. Say YES! If you have more than one partition it'll ask which one. If you only have one partition, it'll just start formatting.

    5) ConfigUSB will work its magic and you're done!

After you have the drive formatted to WBFS you can connect your hard drive to your Mac and access the WBFS partition through WBFS for Mac v1.2 (zipped). You can load ISOs onto the drive or retrieve games you installed from discs. Some forums say you have to open WBFS first and then plug your hard drive in but I haven't seen a difference either way. Games will play through USBLoader or CfgUSB. Personally, I just use USBLoader since there's already the channel.

Good luck to everyone on Macs!

Credit for using CfgLoader goes to: metronomadic .

I downloaded the WBFS for Mac from here

    WBFS for MacOS X.zip

I just checked and the link is still functioning, the file downloaded for me.

However, the first post in this thread by RaginAsian55 also has the file attached, as well as CFGusb loader. although, there is a new version of CFGusb loader (6.2 I think)
