    Question: Installing A Backup Loader

I'm following the FAT32 Hard Divide guide, at step to install a backup loader. Is this done on the hard drive or the Wii console? I have already softmodded the Wii using the Softmod ay Wii guide on this site. IOn the HBC there is a Configuable CFG USBLoader and there is also a standalone channel.

what do i need to do in this step?

That is what the guide is referring to. That step is already done for you thanks to Mauifrog putting it into his pack for softmodding.

    Are these the steps?

    1. plug USB HDD into Wii console
    2. Start Wii
    3. Open CFGLoaderUSB loader
    4. ????

When I get to step 4. I get "No Games Found"

Sounds like you made a mistake in wiibackup manager. You need to be sure the wii hdd is listed in the drive1 slot. Then click the files tab and select add. Browse to the iso you re trying to transfer and select it. Be sure to check the box next to it once it shows up in WBM. Select transfer and a drop down menu will appear, select drive 1. It will transfer the game and should play fine on cfg, unless it is one of the "problematic" games.

Wiibackup manager will make it a .wbfs file when it transfers it to the drive.

on the USB HDD, in Folder Just Dance 2 Special Edition [SD2Y41]. There are 2 files; SD2Y41.wbfs (3,303,424 kb) and SD2Y41_Just_Dance_2_Special_Edition.txt (i kb).

Do they need to moved from the folder to the root?

That looks correct. It needs to be usb\\wbfs\game name[game id]\game id.wbfs

If you let wiibackup manager transfer it that is how it should appear.

Do external hard drives have a bigger chance of failing if they're used to load games from? Sorry if this isn't the thread to ask in, but I didn't know where else to post.
