Ok I reformated the whole drive to fat32, went to try it and same thing happened, went back and read the guide over again (made sure every step was performed) same thing happened. Deleted cfg off sd re-downloaded it and now it works. Cfg must have been busted or something. Thanks for the help Krank and shift_lock.

OMFG.. Ok so I have all the ios setup as from mauifrog's softmod guide. My wiiflow has been using my wbfs formatted hdd perfectly with no problems except some loading freezes here and there. I decided to follow this guide "which is really well setup by the way" and formatted my hdd to fat32 with guiformat.exe. So when I started up wiiflow I went into the settings and changed it to load off of fat32 and all the games loaded up on the list. My wiiflow is running under 250 (57) v20 btw. So now I have the same freeze problems here and there but A LOT of games are not working. One, SSBB wouldnt xfer over to fat32 from the wbfs format, I had to reinstall it via wiiflow when setup with fat32. THEN SSBB will not load at all (if I click start it acts like its loading then goes back to selecting to start it or go back to other games over and over). Two, there are some games that are crashing on loading and just dumping and rebooting. So I have been talking with shift_lock which is a really cool guy btw and decided to try out cfg. Well my 249 slot is r17 so I set to load off of 222. CFG Loader wont even load the hdd and then I tried 249 just for the hell of it and it loaded the view of all the games but none of them will start (of course). Tried 222 on my wiiflow and the same problem it wont load the hdd. I reinstalled 222 (38) and still same problem. My question to Krank is what 249 cios is he using. cios249 base 38, base 57? lol what. Cause if it was 57 then my 250 slot should of worked fine according to the guide. The only thing left I have to try is changing 249 r17 to r21 and trying that and see about moving r17 to another slot for might channels "r17 works best for mighty channels imo". Anyways I thought you guys would think this was interesting. If 249 r21 causes the same problems that my 250 slot is causing right now I am going to just reformat to wbfs since I had no problems with it.

Why must I wait to format my drive, until my wii is modded?

That depends on, what the heck you are talking about.

Lol are you referring to the before you begin section? You don't have to wait if you don't want. That is just so people know they need to follow a softmod guide or this won't work.

@StarGoon - I'm not even going to attempt to read that wall of text. How about you break it up a bit? Sorry.

Yes. I was referring to formatting a HDD to FAT32 before I Smash Stack. Thanks.

    These guides are magnificent.

I presume that I would continue until I get to the section, Install The Forwarder WAD?

Sorry you wont read it cause there is a lot of conflicts with going with fat32. I just finished trying out 249[38] r21 to see if anything would start working better and things did improve with CFG loader but wiiflow wont even boot up with it. Seems most of the games are working but as for SSBB it still is a fail (I posted before that it acts like a ghost and doesn't exist). I am going to reformat back to WBFS.

No I won't read it because it's a wall of text. Break it up a bit and I will read it and try to help you if you like.

    WBFS is not needed.

@WD420 - Well you can format it and copy the loader to your SD card or USB device. If you can't figure out which steps you should and shouldn't do (before you have completed the softmod) then you should just wait until you complete the softmod then follow the guide as is.

If WBFS is not needed then why is there "a wall of conflicts" that come with fat32. Even with wiiflow running 250[57] r20 a lot of games simply dump screened and I never seen that before with WBFS. And with WBFS SSBB didnt vanish. Its funny cause I rip SSBB onto the fat32 like 3 times and it works once then when you reload any loader or hook it up to the computer SSBB vanishes into thin air. Thats why I say that WBFS is much easier and doesn't cause weird conflicts.

I think you still misunderstand why I didn't read your first post. Stick with WBFS if you like, makes no difference to me. I have had zero problems with FAT32 and would be glad to help you if you added some paragraphs to your post.

    Good luck
