Or you could wait for the update to this guide and adjust the instructions accordingly. I have not tried an NTFS partition that is not set to active but it might works for movies with the wii....I really don't know. But as I said, FAT32 can be used for everything if it's primary and set to active.

Any update on the Guide update

Just waiting for a WD 2TB External to arrive next Wend. to get going... Although I might mess with a friends this weekend...

No I haven't had a chance yet. Might get to it this weekend.

Not going to include multi partitions though....I changed my mind. Just updating the FAT32 formatting instructions so 32bit and 64bit can have the same instructions. Will be updating the forwarder channels and possibly Wiiflow and a few other things.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Cool... Still stuff I need to learn or double down on ... Thanks for u'r time & effort...

Will keep an eye out for it... Does FAT32 still have a 500 game limit???? But that can be bypass by splitting the 2TB into 2 or more FAT32 partitions right???

LOL.. No... Doubt it will go higher then low double digits... But was just reading around what the limitations where... Guess I should of thought of that... Guess it's more of a theoretical number..lol

I will most likely put the 12+ games I own & then download some of the HomeBrews... & then fill the rest of the drive with Movies(Blu-Ray quality, which means big files) that I can watch on demand on the best TV in the house... Guess that's why I am still interested on running the game side on Fat32 & the movie side on a NTFS partition...

I don't know about the game limit, I will never hit it so it makes no difference to me.

If you want to have files larger then 4GB's on the drive then I would just go with NTFS and use your SD card for apps.

I thought the 500 game limit applied to wbfs manager. Like Krank, I will never find out because 500 games is not a reality.

Not even sure why I was thinking about that limit... Guess I saw the limit noted & my brain went into spec tunnel vision... Kind of makes me laugh now that I thought 500 was a real number... Unless one has multiple copies of the same games dozens of times for some crazy/testing reasons which I'll never will & 99.98% wont ether...

When one converts/backup a game not as ISO but as a WBFS... How big of a difference are we talking about.... For example.. If a full backup of a game DVD is 5GB as an ISO which I believe will be play straight thru on a NTFS HD... What would that translate to if uploaded/converted to WBFS to be put on a FAT32 drive... I know it shouldn't matter if it's bigger then 4GB since the uploader/converter prog should split the file on the fly...

Not sure what you're asking. .wbfs format files are used on FAT32 and NTFS drive. There is no difference in size or transferring/installing.

.wbfs files are as small as they can be.
