    I have read that if I use FAT32 for wiiflow this will cure it. Do i just reformat the drive to fat32 and have a WSBF folder on the root with the games in it in their WSBF file format ?
    My first post so please forgive me if this seems trivial.......
    you using the r304 of wiiflow also which cios...it might fix the issue...just read and follow the guide it seems you got the idea...

    I think the problem is the memory stick i'm using for a test set up , I will try the fat32 format WD drive with a WBFS folder on the root ( contatining WBSF game files. ) to see if this works.
    I will also put the apps folder on the root as well from now on instead of using the SD card. Can you just copy the root of the SD card onto the USB and away you go ? I know that homebrew can see the apps when you press 1.
    OUt of interest what is your set up.

    wiiflow 2.2 r04 (249)
    hemmes 222,223,224 installed.

    wiiflow 2.2 r04 (249)
    hemmes 222,223,224 installed.
    wiiflow 2.2 r304 (249)
    500gb seagate usb drive fat32 formatted

    I still have my apps and wiiflow/covers etc.. on my SD card though

    my cIOS setup is
    222 (38), 223 (37+38 merged), 224 (57) all latest revisions

    249 v20 (56) and 250 v19 (57)

    EDIT!!!

    i just moved the contents of my SD card onto my USB drive and everything works (my homebrew apps) without havin an SD card in the wii, although to get wiiflow working on the usb drive i had to delete the config settings file located under apps/wiiflow/ and replace it with another 1 from 2.2-RC-1-(NO-Dol) download file and open it up and edit [GENERAL]
    data_on_usb=yes

    I got fat32 running smooth now, using Wiiflow & Configurable USB Loader, work great. Had to drop USB loader GX. GX seemed to work better with a WBFS partitioned drive. I kinda ditched GX & stuck with the other 2 loaders.
