Should work just fine. Cfg auto splits files over 4GB and they rip to .wbfs file type. There is not much reason to "learn" about splitting them...everything is done for you.
    Damn I suck!!!!

The game doesn't know it isn't running on a disc. Simply put, the loader detects that the game is split into multiple files and seamlessly reads them as if they were one file.

Formatted as fat32 again (actually, just deleted the WBFS and resized the FAT32 partition this time), and installed 249 rev20.
CFG 249 and Wiiflow 249 both load the games from the FAT32 partition fine.
Tried CFG 222 and the same thing happens.
So it's definitely some kind of 222 problem with my wii

edit: But i'm having trouble reinstalling 249 rev17, because Wad Manager no longer detects my USB drive as a valid source.
    Luckily, my SD card works.

I'm having a hard time understanding how to load games onto my hdd. I formatted my external hdd just with EPMS software. My wii has been soft mod using maui frog's guide. I have the sd card in place with the files from his last step of the guide. I now open up Wii Game Manager. I can't figure out how to get it to recognize my external hdd. I have game iso on my computer. How can I move the iso to the newly formatted hdd using wii game manager? Here's a screen shot of what I see when I open up wii manager while my external hdd is hooked up. Thanks for the help!

Oh my GAWD!! Man I need help..

Its been a day and I cant get it to work!!! I think there is some sort of virus on my PC.. It wont let me successfully copy anything to my thumb drive. First time I copied it... Loading > Black screen. Overwriting it.. Loading > Safety screen > Black screen. Overwriting it again Loading > Intro movie > STUCK!!

And so on.. My friend says I should try a WBFS manager to do it with a wbfs partition coz that way any bad data wont affect it

Here's what "I" would do...Back up everything (if possible) from the Wii HD..Reformat the HD to FAT32 and install WiiFlow w/ forwarder channel (if desired). This is what I use and it works flawlessly.

Make sure the HD and/or flash drive isn't locked. This is easy to overlook.

Your screenshot hasn't been approved, so I cannot see it.
I've never used wii game manager before now, but it looks like you choose "open .wbfs files (list A)", then choose "open .iso files (list B)" and you're cooking.
If your external harddrive doesn't appear in the windows folder selection dialog, then it's not formatted as FAT32.
If any of this doesn't make sense, then you need to read the guide again.

It wont let me successfully copy anything to my thumb drive.
Did you try any of the things I suggested?

You say that "it" won't let you successfully copy "anything".
    What is "it"?
And by "anything" what do you mean?
If you copy a large txt file, can you read it?
If you copy a large zip file, can you extract it?
If you copy a large video file, can you watch it?

If it's true that you can't copy "anything", then you have a problem with your thumb drive that is outside the scope of this thread.

If trying both things i suggested in my last reply to you doesn't work, do as CompletelyBefuddled said and format it.
Edit: you could also just try a different thumbdrive or different computer, to narrow down whether the problem is with your thumbdrive, or between your thumbdrive and your computer.

Yea I do keep formatting it now and then. Its has no other data than the game.
As for the weird questioning (lol). "it" is either my pc or thumbdrive.. i dunno. Not sure about text files but if I copy large folders than some files are missing and RAR files cant be extracted, it gives some error. Video files CAN be opened but have some problem. (get stuck at some point or get choppy and sometimes bad or no audio)

Im downloading the game again on another laptop. Going to try wbfs manager and I hope it works

Oh and btw... Im getting the same results with installing it from the backup on CFG

You should be as specific as possible when asking for help.

There's definitely something wrong between your computer and your thumbdrive.

One of these things is the problem:
    - if you're using a USB cable/hub, use a different one, or don't use one at all.
    - if another thumbdrive in the same computer works, then your thumbdrive is faulty/damaged.
    - if the same thumbdrive in different computer works, then your drivers are probably bad, as I suggested earlier. Less likely is that your usb ports themselves are faulty.

If by "it" you mean using CFG to rip the game from a disc to your thumbdrive, then it's almost certain that your thumbdrive is bad and you need to try a different one.

Quick question guys. I noticed that for Reccomended cIOS setup For FAT32 as per the guide you both have

249 - Rev 20 [Base 57], and 224 - Rev 5.1 [57]. Now correct me If I'm wrong but I thought we were only supposed to install
1 base per slot?? I went ahead and did what was suggested as in Cile and Kranks cIOS setup. I already had 249-Rev 20[Base 57] installed
,but went ahead and installed 224 Rev 5.1[57] as per Cile And Kranks setup. Just wondering if it was okay to do that. Everything seems fine
and It seemed to install right from wad manager so I should be okay. Just really unsure whether there would be any conflict between the two since it seems like they both have the same base [57], allthough there different ios slots?? Just another one for ya guys. Thanks for all the help.
