When I right click on the RAR file I don't have an extract option. If I right click I can use 7-zip to extract, but it doesn't complete the process. Does anyone know why?

    Thanks

It sounds very much like the .rar file is corrupt. Try downloading it again.
7zip usually gives an error message.

I wanted to re-use a 500gb IDE/PATA drive for this, is this possable to get one of these...(you can get them on ebay for about $13-15)

Newegg.com - MASSCOOL UHB-330U Aluminum with mirror finish 3.5" USB 2.0 External Enclosure

Format to FAT32 then connect it to my "softmodded" Wii (I have not fully read the process but, if this drive will work, I'll be 1/2 way there). Will this work or what do I need to be able to use a older drive like this (trying to save $$ if possable because I have most of the hardware) ????

    Thanks in advance !!!
I would stay away with masscool drives if I were you, I have some, and they work great, but cause a LOT of interference when using anywhere near the wii. I'm guessing that because they're so cheap, they're also unshielded. There's no way these things are FCC approved.

Just double click the file and choose where you want to extract to. The file should be fine but you can try downloading it again as mention. If you extract to the SD or HDD root then the folders will be extracted to the proper directory and folder...no need to make the folders.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Am I supposed to extract both the wad manager and forwarder to my HDD? If so I did that and I still don't a get a "load wad manager" option when I start HBC.

The wad manager can be extracted anywhere then place it on the SD like this....SD:/apps/wadmanager/boot.dol. Then look for it in the HBC (it might not have an icon).

If you are speaking of the RAR that you extarct directly to SD or HDD root then just extract it to the HDD or SD and you will be able to launch your loader from HBC.

To install the forwarder just put the .wad file in your wad folder and install with wad manager, then you can load your loader from the wii menu with the channel you just installed.
    Damn I suck!!!!

This is how it is setup.

    Is this the forwarder?

How do I install the forwarder with wad manager? This is what the other file on my root looks like, besides SD:/apps/wadmanager/boot.dol, SD:/wad/WiiFlowloader-DFWF.wad When I launch HBC am I supposed to see an option for wad manager?

I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but everytime I change something on my HDD and I unplug it from my computer I get a "delayed write failed" error

Try a different SD card, full formatted to FAT32. Wad manager will only be available in HBC if you have it on your SD card....as I said it might not have an ICON....read every app and check all the pages in HBC when looking for wad manager. If you don't have it read the 3rd post (FAQ section, last question).

    Is this the forwarder?
No that's what you need to load it from HBC.

    SD:/wad/WiiFlowloader-DFWF.wad
    That is the forwarder.

So far everything has been going fine with these directions.
    Until this section.

    [How To Extract the RAR]

How to Extract a RAR or ZIP to USB or SD Root - USB:\ SD:\
In this guide (and others here) you will often see instructions like this
"Download [Download Link Here] Extract to SD:\ or USB:\ " (The Root (First) Directory of your USB Device or SD Card)

To Extract to the Device Root:
    1. Connect the USB Device Or SD Card to your PC
    2. Right click the RAR file and select "Extract Files..."
    3. Browse for your USB Device or SD Card (Example "Removable Disk (F)
    4. Double Click the Device. Click "OK" to Extract the RAR - Overwrite/Merge/Replace *If Asked*

Ever since the partition part on my USB drive earlier, my computer will not recognize my USB. Any solutions?

Yes, change the drive letter of your drive to K: or F: and try again. You can do this in disc management or using Acronis or Easeus (whatever you used to format it).
    Damn I suck!!!!

I was wondering why I keep getting a black screen using USB loader GX. Also, is it normal to install a 3.75GB game for about 30 mins?
