since you said legally acquired that means you have the retail copy...just use cfg loader and rip the game to the hdd...best option

I tried with wiiflow to see if it would rip it to my fat32 drive and it said erroro not enough space 1 block available. Thanks for the idea, Ill try cfg loader when I get a chance.

I tried loading with cfg loader to my fat drive and got same error as wiiflow, "not enough space"

    Here is what Ive tried-
converting straight from my wbfs partition to my fat partition(this worked with 90% of my games)

For the games that converted into XXXXXX.wbfs.tmp I tried this-
scrubbed and trimmed with wii scrubber then converting (same resulting .tmp file)
extracted from wbfs drive to iso then converting (same resulting .tmp file)
loading to fat partition via wiiflow (not enough space)
loading to fat partition via cfg loader (not enough space)

Anymore ideas why this is happening??

Sometimes the simplest problems are overlooked. I was out of space on my fat partition which seems to be what created the smaller .tmp files. I thought this was wierd though because wii game manager didnt notify me of low disk space as it has done before. Its also wierd that the games that didnt install correctly were spread throughout my game list instead of all being at the end of the list when it ran out of space. Anyway, streching my fat drive a little larger allowed all the games to be installed correctly, both with wii game manager and directly through wiiflow. Hope this helps anyone who encounters the same problems. Thanks for the help

Thanks for updating the post with a solution stmcmurray76. I will add it to the FAQ. I guess the "error" was fairly accurate in this case

I tried loading with cfg loader to my fat drive and got same error as wiiflow, "not enough space"
Odd that WGM didn't tell you it was out of space. As for why they were spread out on the drive rather then at the end, it is listed in alphabetical order.

    Glad you solved it!
    Damn I suck!!!!

Hello, I have been following this tutorial for a bit now. I've tried to get it to work, but I think I have an ios wrong somewhere down the line. I try to load gx, and it gives me the choice to run as 222 or 249, choosing 222 just freezes the system, choosing 249 gives me the go ahead, but then fails to detect my wd320.
Then I followed Cranks advice to use cfg... I installed this using wad manager 1.6, as a forwarder. I load it from the system menu, and it will load up, then just restart the system. grr.
    This is my syscheck:

Do you see anything that might cause my issues?

I'm confused...you are on system menu 4.1 but your IOS60 is stubbed? Please confirm your system menu version...

Please clarify....does it restart when you click to load a game? Or when you load the channel from the Wii Menu?

Are you using one of the Loaders included in the guide?

Well this looks as if this is my only alternative. My current HDD is not compatable. So I will be going to Best Buy tomorrow to get a recommended one. Hopefully I can get this up and running successfully. I have printed guide and excerts and will read over and over again to familiarize myself with the steps. Should have known Cile & Krank would be the ones authoring this So if I run into any problems, I will let you know. Nice guide BTW.

Alrighty, I guess I have 4.1 running. I hard modded my wii a while ago, just before bannerbomb came around. I think it came with 3.3... idk. Just to be sure I went through dogeggs guide to softmod for 4.1 and followed it to be sure I had a properly softmodded wii. When I load cfg from the wii menu(version with black background and red switch), it flashes a screen and then goes back to the wii menu. GX, just gives me a black screen, no functions. Newer version of cfg (blue background and usb symbol) loads to a black and grey screen says "v57-222 222-mload" in bottom right corner; also the blue light for disks illuminates off and on rather rapidly, again no functions. here is my new syscheck after the 4.1 guide.

    Spoiler

    does it look more appropriate?
all of the loaders were from this guide or from the cfg tutorial. I'll check out my drive again, maybe that is being the issue...

I was wondering. Should I create 2 Partitions for wiimc and usb loader? I am trying to get both to work on one 1tb external hard drive, but I don't know how. Any help?
