No. Edit the contents of the file. A line should be there that says "covers_path = sd:/usb-loader/covers". Change the "sd" to "usb" (no quotes).

just in case someone else has the same issues i have. heres is the url to the guide i used...http://www.wiihacks.com/blogs/krank/...der-guide.html I take no credit for that guide. as far as i can see the guide was made by KranK and the credit goes to him.... hopefuly it helps someone else... and hopefuly we are allowed to post urls in the message . I did that guide then formated my hard drive to fat32 with also Krank guide and added the files to my root of my hard drive and it works Perfectly

cjizzle... thanks a lot for you help. I think that was my problem the first time around... it had sd for all the covers. and now the one in my hard drive it has usb..... and it workd great... thanks a lot once again

Okay, I'm sorry if I am not understanding and this may be a dumb question so I apologize in advance....

But what exactly do you mean by.....

"Transfering .wbfs file to your HDD

You can use ANY of the following paths...

    USB:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs
    USB:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].wbfs
    USB:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs (RECOMMENDED)
    USB:\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.wbfs"

I am a mac user and I'm using Wii Backup Fusion.....Every time I try and burn my iso to my partitioned HD it can NEVER find the wbfs when I try and load it through both ULoader and CFG.

When you mean PATH....does that mean I need to create another folder in the HD named wbfs?

The way I am reading "USB:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs" is that I need a FOLDER in my HD called wbfs and then what does GAMEID mean?

Sorry again if these are dumb questions, but I'm pulling my hair out trying to get this to work

    Thanks very much in advance.

    **EDIT**

The error that I'm getting in ULoader is "No wbfs partition found"....

When I hit the home button at the HBC it says I have IOS 58 V24.32.

I am trying to play Xenoblade Chronicles. I don't know which IOS it works on, which loader to use...nor do I know how to change my IOS (if that's even possible).

    ...again...total N00b to Wii hacking.

You can't use Uloader to load from a FAT32 partition. Use Cfg USB Loader, Wiiflow, or USB Loader Gx.

    Yes.

GameID means the ID of the game (this is the actual game file). When you use Wiibackup fusion it should name your converted file as the ID of the game and it will be a .wbfs file (so XXXXX.WBFS as an example). So you will have your USB root then in the root a folder named 'wbfs' then inside the 'wbfs' folder you will have your game files.

Yes you can change the IOS in any USB Loader (I recommend using Cfg). Probably a guide or some posts on this game already, search/google.

Thanks very much for your response.

I attempted to create a folder on my partitioned HD and the CFG loader read it.....but there was an error loading the wbfs.

    I chose the path USB:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].*gameid*.wbfs

Definitely progress, but still not loading.

I still don't know how much changing the IOS will help me. Does the CFG loader work better on a specific IOS (if I can even change it)??

Error loading the wbfs? Can you be more specific? to test just use this structure first....USB:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs. In Cfg make sure you select the partition with your games on it.

Okay. I will try that. I'll let you know what it says. I'm gonna have to re-partition the drive and do it.

Okay...its seeing the game now..."Xenoblade Chronicles"... with the file structure you suggested. I was even able to download the cover art.

Which is some progress....but when I try and load the game is says "wbfs error: HD num sector doesn't match"

    Hmm......

    **EDIT**

Could just changing the IOS in CFG help?

The more that I'm researching this issue...the more that I'm finding that there is a PAL and NTSC format error...or maybe an error in the partition? But I could be (read:more than likely) be wrong. it is a PAL iso that I downloaded but the CFG should have some sort of region changer that should change that....right? I see there is a "force NTSC" option as well as a "Force PAL50" and a "Force PAL 60" option.... UGHHH I hope this game is worth all of this...

How about re ripping the game from your original disc?
