    GH5 DLC - Stuck!

    Hi,

I followed this great guide here http://www.wiihacks.com/submit-artic...hwt-gh5-9.html

however, I've installed the 1up installer and I try and install the song.wad and title.wad, but I get an ERROR! (re = -1029)

So I went back to the guide and it said to uninstall the song.wad and title.wad if errors occur using wad manager, so I did this using wad manager 1.7

when uninstalling the song.wad I get this error:

    deleting tickets....ok
    deleting title contents...ERROR! (ret = -106)
    deleting title...ERROR! (ret = -106)

if I then try and uninstall the title.wad I get this error:

    deleting tickets....ERROR! (ret = -4100)
    deleting title contents...ERROR! (ret = -106)
    deleting title...ERROR! (ret = -106)

So I again went back to the guide and it said delete all remains of GH5 from system memory, so I did that, but got all the same errors as above.

I then installed cIOS56-64-v5146-rev14 and tried all the above, but still the same error.

I'm on 4.2E and using PAL song and title wads. Is there something I'm missing here?

    Thanks for the help.
    I love this site!

If you have questions about a tutorial/mod, why are you posting them here in a a new thread rather than in-thread? Also, there's an Error Index for this sort of stuff. IDK about -106, but -1029 is in there.

I tried posting in the tutorial thread, but it would not let me.

oh thats why then, thanks, and please feel free to delete this then. I've checked out the error index. I am going to uninstall the cios249 thing using anytitle deleter as it suggests, but how do I reinstall cios249 ?

Run the cIOS38 rev 17 installer from HBC. Use IOS 36 for installation.

I just validated your two posts; might want to check in a few mins and see if they show up. Keep in mind, replies to that thread by other, regular users will have to be manually approved as well (in other words, it'll take time). That's if Krank doesn't sort it for you.

what a mission (but it worked)

If there is one thing to say about Wiihacks it's this:

"If you follow the guides you will succeed"

To get this to work started with patience. I initially had the 1029 error so I went here Error List - with solutions and tried deleting IOS249 with any deleter, but then it through up another error, this time 2011.

Sure enough from the error list guide, there was a fix. So I followed step 1-3 of this guide.

After doing so I then installed Hermes v4 with this guide.

Following on from that, I followed this guide to install IOS202.

I read all the above, followed the guides and I am pleased to say I can now install GH5 DLC.

Thanks guys for the amazing guides! It now works and I'm very, very happy.

Just had a thought, is there a way to install DLC from within directories on the SD card. At present I have to transfer 1 single song.wad and title.wad to the wad dir and they have to be outside of a dir. It would be easier to transfer all the dir's to the wad dir and have DLC go into each one. Maybe I have an outofdate 1up installer or this can't be done. thanks.
