Does this happen when you load Cfg from HBC as well? Or just the forwarder? Try a different forwarder...
    Damn I suck!!!!

Well, I've been going round-and-round trying to figure out why my portable drive won't go past the "Mounting" page. I looked up some info and found out I needed to format and re-partition it so I followed the guide and made it into a FAT32 drive. I had CFG USB Loader already installed, v58 with 249 loading up with it. I thought it would work with the SD card still inside with the boot in it. I still cannot get past the "Mounting" phase of loading the channel and it drives me crazy. Savegame Manager in the HBC recognizes the drive is there and all the files inside it are there but the channel never loads past that error page. I tried both USB ports and let it run at least 20 times in each port. Nothing has worked so far and it is driving me mad that I cannot access it at all. Yes, my drive is on the compatibility list. Seagate Expansion External Drive 1TB, just in case. Is there anyone else who has or has had this happen that knows a way past this problem? It feels like such a headache to get so far and then come back to the same error.

It looks like you said you made the entire drive a FAT32 drive. Did you mark it as primary, when you formatted it?

Also, it looks like cIOSx rev21 is not compatible with some usb hdd's. What version of 249 did you install?

I'm not entirely sure of the version since my brother was the one who installed it, but it was done a bit ago, back in October I think. Yes, I marked it as Primary and Active, just like the guide said to do through EASEUS. After posting my first post and waiting a few minutes, I returned downstairs and tried again...It went through to the game list. I played one for about an hour and returned to the Wii Menu. Tried again on the channel and back to start...waited a few minutes, tried again, same thing. I can't tell if I'm supposed to wait a length of time on this thing or what but it feels like there might be something wrong here.

As I stated, I didn't install anything so I wouldn't have a clue how to do so without risking bricking it all to hell with whats already on there. And I mentioned I used EASEUS as stated in the FAT32 Hard Drive formatting guide. I use Windows Vista 64 bit so it told me to use that program, and I did everything listed on there. I'm not sure if its the Loader having a hard time finding it or something, but every 20-30 minutes the drive can be read again. It's confusing the hell out of me as to whether its the channel having trouble reading the drive at all from time to time or that the drive itself blocks incoming activity for some reason. Anyone got any advice or answers as to what to do/try?

The drive may be spinning down? Seagate has software to extend the time it does it or you can set it for never. Does the drive have it's own power? If it uses power off the usb, the newer wiis are finicky about that.

It does have its own power source, which is annoying since the power outlet is so far away from it. xD But anyways, there is a way to cut out the wait time? Please, tell me more! I am quite curious as to how I can avoid waiting 20-30 minutes after wanting to play a new game, especially if it's a game I just put in there and don't know if I am using the proper IOS to load it. ><' That gets harsh when you mess up and have to wait another 30 minutes just to try another game or another IOS. ><'
