Smash stack and Indiana PWNS only load boot.elf (I think)
You can try to rename the boot.dol to dop-mii.dol
Then extract the loader.elf from loadMii_0.3_twilightHack.zip to sd:\
    Rename loader.elf to boot.elf
Then smash stack or Indiana PWNS, loadmii starts, then load from SD and load the dop-mii.dol
    Ipsa scientia potestas est.

Smash stack. I go to stage builder, click SD card then check content and system freezes. Thoughts? I softmodded using the guide here for 4.2U so I believe I replaced a cIOS. I also tried your above suggestion with renaming and using the twilight loader.elf. No luck. Perhaps I didn't replace the cIOS? Hmm

    Unhappy

couldn't you just rename the boot.dol to boot.elf?\

EDIT: This does not work for me.....the first time i used this the screen hung on stage builder in ssbb. I used mauifrog's method but nothing happens. it just freezes....

Neither mauifrog's way nor shadowsonic2's way works. And again, why can't you just rename the boot.dol to boot.elf?

My issue was I had the original 3 custom stages. Removed them and the hack worked. But I am also hanging at the elf image missing. I renamed boot.dol to boot.elf and here is the screen cap of what I see.

Not sure, but is there a restriction about gamecube hardware, like there is when using the bannerbomb exploit? Might be worth a try to see if you have a memory card plugged in, not sure if it would cause an issue, but ya never know.
Just throwing things out there lol

Is anybody having success executing the .dol/.elf in the guide? It seems it doesn't want to run the app. Just try to run a wad manager .dol instead and install the HBC.wad posted by mauifrog and try to run the apps via hbc.

    Just my 2 cents

    This time i made sure....

mauifrogs hbc wad can't run apps....if you were reading it....
EDIT: it says "Any app that tries to run hbc will crash" wonder what that means?

    HBC(zxqw).zip

Perhaps even better is this loadmii forwarder, a bit more advanced though. (ugly)
    LoadMii Channel.rar

I have tested both of these.
Actually you have misread, he says that applications trying to access Homebrew channel will not load it, because of the changed channel ID. He says other wise it will work fine. hi-lighted in bold in the quote.
