Restore Your cIOS on 4.3 Wii!
THIS HAS BEEN SEMI-TESTED AND SHOULD WORK. REMEMBER ANYTHING DONE TO YOUR CONSOLE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
ALSO TAKE A LOOK HERE FOR MORE INFO AND FINDINGS ON THE 4.3 SYSTEM UPDATE: 4.3 Discussion
First of all, this requires that you were previously softmodded with a working cIOS. If you followed one of the Softmodding tutorials at Wiihacks.com, then you should have one. This tutorial requires you to have either the Original Super Smash Bros. Brawl Disc or the Original Indiana Jones Disc. You will also need a regular SD Card properly formatted to FAT32 and probably a working wifi connection.
If you're using Smash Stack (USA Only) (Super Smash Bros. Brawl), download this pack.
If you're using Indiana PWNS (Indiana Jones), download this pack.
Unzip the pack to the root of your SD Card so it looks like this:
/private/
/boot.elf
/dopmii.dol
/wadmanger.dol
/wad/
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Users
Insert your SD Card into your Wii and launch Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Go to 'Stage Builder' and it should load LoadMii.
Indiana Jones Users
Insert your SD Card into your Wii and go to 'Wii Options' then 'Data Management' then 'Save Data' and 'SD'. Copy the Indiana Jones Save File to Wii. Now exit and launch Indiana Jones. Load the Save file you just copied. When the game loads, you will be in Barnett College. Walk to the Art Room (through the Courtyard), approach the left character on the podium. When it zooms on him, choose the switch to option (two silhouettes, staggered, with an arrow pointing between them). It should now load LoadMii.
Step 1 - Restoring Trucha Bug in iOS36
You should now load dopmii.dol through LoadMii.
a) Load iOS250 as the one it should be used. You should now be taken to a menu with several options. Select iOS. Navigate to iOS36 and press + on the WiiMote to install. Say YES to all patches. Allow it to install successfully. Once done, exit and move onto the next step.
Step 2 - Deleting the Stubs
a) Repeat the DOP-Mii loading process with the Brawl or Indiana Exploit if you need to, When you're in DOP-Mii, this time load iOS36. You should now be taken to a menu with three options: iOS, BC, mIOS. Select iOS by pressing A. Go to iOS202. Under currently installed, you should 'Stub', Press - on your wiimote and press A to confirm. Do the same un-installation process for iOS222, iOS223, iOS249 and iOS254 also. Do NOT remove any Other IOS!
Step 3 - Re-installation of Custom iOS249 and Backup launchers
a) Repeat the Smash Stack Exploit or Indiana PWNS Exploit again and in LoadMii, load wadmanager.dol
b) Choose iOS36 or iOS250 as the one it should load. Then set SD Slot as Source and make sure NAND Emulation is disabled.
c) Navigate into the wad folder and highlight 'iOS249 v17.wad', press A and set the action to install and go!, allow it to finish.
d) Now do the samething to the loader of your choice. If you want disc loading, install Neogamma. If you want USB Loading, use USB loader GX.
d) Once done, exit to the next step.
cIOS249 and Loader now restored.
(Optional) Step 4 - Downgrade back to SM 4.1
You can downgrade to System Menu 4.1 using this tutorial. It may be risky but atleast it allows you to have Homebrew Channel back. Then softmodding with this one.
OR:
Install Temporary Homebrew Channel {Thanks Mauifrog}
This is to install a Homebrew Channel with a different Title ID so it doesn't get removed. First download and unzip this pack. Take the WAD file inside of it and place it into the wad folder on the root of your SD Card. Repeat the Exploit steps to load WAD Manager.
a) Select iOS36 or iOS249 as the one it should use.
b) Set SD Slot as Source and NAND Emulation DISABLED.
c) Navigate into the WAD Folder and highlight the Homebrew Channel (HBC).wad
d) Press 'A' and set action to install and GO!
e) Once done, press Home to exit.
