I don't see the point in installing as Channels. What if there is an update then you have to wait till a wad is compiled, delete the old version, then install the wad again.

Not to mention the lack of Wii System memory.

    Homebrew Channel works for me.

Yeah, especially for something you don't use all the time. I can understand Gecko Os and backup loaders, but Wad manager as a channel is kinda useless.

i think, emulators as a channel is the pinical of useless..

you still need the SD card to boot games
youre using space for something that isnt needed
and you are using them over a VC game which works better *in some way* than that, and kinda defeat's the purpose

Hmm, there are two different types of channels:

    - Channels which install a copy of the app and load that copy. [more disk space used, re-install to updated]

    - Forwarder-channels, which don't install a copy of the app and load it from a certain path from the sd card [much less disk space used, no re-install to updated]

So Forwarder-channels from emulators are - of course not much more usefull then before - but a nice toy, which does not need more then 6 - 12 blocks each.

... But how to create Forwarder-channels? I know that they exist, but how to make one?

Maybe I just like having the image of the old school NES in my wii channels!! It's just a loader into the EMU anyways......everything is on the SD card.

you could always just copy the channel onto the SD and you wouldn't have to load Homebrew everytime
