I did messies update on 4.2 with rev. 14. When I follow your guide for updating to cios38 rev 17 (from 14) - it seems to work but as the text scrolls by a see a single "error"-2111(not sure ofthe number) - when I run Config usb loader - it says my ios249 version is 14. does that mean my cios38 rev 17 update didn't work???????? How can I tell for sure?????
i set the ios on the start of the installer to ios36 - but i see on other guides to try 249 etc... What is with that? Please help I am confused!!! thanks

confirmed ios36 not working when upgrading messies 4.2 from rev14 to rev 17. followed another post and used ios249 (the default) and it seems to have worked fine. did ios36 attempt hurt anything? I am new and don't quite understand all the ios stuff.
    thanks

Just run the installer on defaults and check out the error code index if you hit a snag. I bet the error was -2011. Check out the error code index for your answer.

Ok I confirmed that when I used the cIOS38rev17 installer with ios36 as the first selection - it didn't work - got errors. when i used ios249 to update from ver 14 to ver17 it worked fine.
Did I hurt anything using ios36? I am new at this. pLease and thanks in advance

Thsi is all great but using CIOS38 as base will not make your MH3 game play... although it WILL be compatible with WAD manager.

Everytime I play MH3 I have to downgrade to cios37... Yes I'm using Neogamma.

Any solution out there so far? (Beside using USB loader)
