If DARKCORP wasn't causing too much a problem I'd have just left it as is. You can still have a fully-functional softmod with DC installed. But anyways since you're having problems check out the guides for the loader you're trying to make the most use of. Might try backing up and formatting the SD card and performing a cIOS reinstall. Sometimes helps with miscellaneous errors.

    Hi Ithian.
I'm too having problems with Darkcorp. Made a thread here ( http://www.wiihacks.com/general-home...ot-read-2.html ) and was referred to you. Perhaps you can help.
Theres a lot of explaining to do. Tried to get rid of #002 error and updated my wii/homebrew/priiloader/bootmii.
After that got "disk could not be read" error. So, sadly, installed darkcorp... but the problem remained. So, following your guide, uninstalled darkcorp using cIOS_DARK_249.zip (Requires base38 install on 249) and everything went smoothly (all OKs). But, now when I run syscheck it hangs on "Testing IOS9 vulnerabilities". If I try and generate the report manually and one by one, everything works. IOS4, IOS9, IOS11... When I run Dop-Mii syscheck, it gives a nasty looking error on IOS 28:
    (*)Region: Europe (E)
    (*)Device ID: 62883138
    (*)Hollywood version: 0x11
    (*)Getting certs.sys from the NAND...{DONE}

(*)Found 28 IOSes that are safe to test.

Probably corrupt install. Just reinstall the next IOS in the list when it hangs. You can do this by following the instructions in the guide as given, then when it comes time to batch install all your IOS instead of hitting 1, manually select all IOS between 9 and 28 following the directions on-screen and install only those.

Alternatively you could follow the directions in the guide exactly and remove all IOS from your SD card except 9 - 28.

Either of the two options above will accomplish the same thing. After, re-run your syscheck and see what happens.

Tried both, but the problem remains...

EDIT: so whats the best way to restore everything the way it was ? Some forum members say that re-virginising isn't a good idea. Why ?

    Well, that was unexpected.
Found this thread about Dop-Mii syscheck and it seems that the program is a bit flawed:
Issue 61 - dop-mii - syscheck crashes on 14.2 - Project Hosting on Google Code
After scanning with v13, here are the results:
IOS Version FakeSign ES_identify NAND Flash
250 v65535 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
249 v17 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
247 v4 Enabled Enabled Enabled Enabled

53 v5406 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
50 v54321 Enabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
38 v3867 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
37 v3869 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
36 v54321 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
35 v3349 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
34 v3348 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
33 v3091 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
31 v3608 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
30 v54321 Enabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
28 v1550 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
22 v1037 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
21 v782 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
20 v54321 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
17 v775 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
16 v54321 Enabled Enabled Enabled Enabled
15 v523 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
14 v520 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
13 v273 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
12 v269 Disabled Disabled Disabled Disabled
11 v54321 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
9 v54321 Enabled Enabled Enabled Disabled
4 v3 Enabled Enabled Enabled Enabled

Why the syscheck 2.1 craches after IOS9 is still a mystery. DOP v13 hangs also, after a complete scan.

So, am I now (finally!) darkcorp free and is it safe to try the "wii softmod guide" ( http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html ) again ?

I just wanted to write a quick message to thank you for writing this easy to follow tutorial and your work is very much appreciated. I've been wanting to remove this off my Wii after reading several threads of the headaches it's caused. I only installed it because I didn't know that there was a con since the instructions only marked it as "optional." Plus, I only use my Wii drive to rip games and once you go USB loading, it's hard to go back to discs...thanks again!
