I guess we should've kept this evil plot in the mod forum, lol. Hey, I did say experimental and those that have come to know Joostin will know this is a losing, uphill battle you're gonna wage

The user who PM'ed you is now on very thin ice for messaging multiple members over something covered in the guide and failure to read. Fortunately for them I am distracted by a new toy for the time being.
Was that really there before? I definitely didn't see that before because I read that faq and had to do a Google search search to get the password and luckily that worked lol.

But man, the user should have tried searching or should have just PM'd one or two people. I helped him out and gave him the password.

Yep sure was. That is funny that a google search pulled it up so quickly. Now I know there's no excuse not to find it lol.

I did the guide, THANKS!! Very simple, almost to simple! I thought it was gone. But think there are some traces of it left (maybe?).

When I put a burned copy of a game in the Wii, it still shows in the Wii's Disc Channel. But when I select it to play, it starts to load, then gives error about taking the disc out and restarting the Wii. That's fine since it's not playing it from the disc channel (so it seems to be un-installed)

But I thought if you don't have DarkCorps installed, then you wouldn't even be able to see the image in the Wii's Disc Channel window...? Also my SysCheck still has like 7 or so v65535's. IOS 40, 41, 43, 45, 46, 48, and 52. Here is my SysCheck...please someone make me feel better and explain?? Thanks!!!

EDIT: I forgot to do a step....so I got it all straight now. Thanks, and sorry for being such a noob! LOL

now that you have failcorp gone... you will most likely need to update some of your IOS depending on the games that you are playing!!!!

It is normal to see the banner information for a burned disc in the disc channel when cIOSCORP is not installed. Once the disc is launched, though, it will give an error.

It is also normal that the banner will not display in the disc channel, and will instead show "Unable to read disc."

Still not sure why that is. Might have something to do with different disc drive models, but I haven't tested this theory yet.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. All seems well, and looks like my Wii is finally free from the Dark Side.....Now WiiMC allowed me to install the latest version without a whole bunch of stack/code dumps....also installed the channel without the IOS 58 error I was getting.

At the time I was modding my Wii it sounded cool (and practical). But after I burnt a few discs and seen how much better/faster it was to load from USB it was a no brainer. Reading random threads, I came across the subject and seen how many people advised against it and what it could actually do, so I looked for a method to remove.

The new guide worked great! Like I said before, almost seemed to easy. I did miss the step about removing the Korean IOS's, but after I posted about it, I read things over again and again. Found my noob mistake and got things straight again. I feel much better now that it's gone! Thanks guys, you are all awesome! See you around....

    Hello
I have an old softmodded wii which was running 4.3e before being softmodded.
I installed darkcorp but i dont really use it since I use mainly usb loading.
I also have priiloader as boot2
It is better to keep darkcorp or to remove it to prevent problems?
My wii is connected to the net but it is not set to auto update.
    cheers
