I think I have cIOSCORP, it shows up on my HBC as a thing but I've never clicked on it.

    Spoiler

I have a Korean Wii, I'm having a problem I dunno if It was downgraded while running cioscorp. I resetted my Wii and I have preloader v0.30 I don't know what bootmii install as boot2 means, but I sure do wanna get rid of Cioscorp since wiihacks recommends it. I thank you in advance.

If it is not causing you issue, why mess with it? This guide details how to remove it, so follow the guide. Your on 4.1 so don't worry about downgrade issues. You have a Korean wii, which will brick if updated to 4.2/4.3 and above- so don't update and install cios70, cios80, and cios90 just in case.

It all started with: I can't play metroid prime other M. Nothing else. Well, It sure doesn't cause me any problem so far. But if CIOSCORP does in the future, I'll be upset. Anyway, I dunno if I'll try removing it this halloween, I got no work so I'll have time to see through it. thanks!

It is not going to cause to problems in the future, perhaps you need to update an ios for a new game, but I doubt you will ever know it is there. Don't forget about what I said about Korean wii that have been region changed. You should install these with wadmanager.
    cIOS70-v6174.zip
    cIOS80-v6174.zip
    cIOS90-v6174.zip
They prevent 003 bricks should you update by mistake.

Thank you. I alone use my Wii, which takes less chance to get it updated mistakenly. Although I already tried the MTOM guide here, yes I still can't get it to run past Baby's Cry, and I have two diff. Isos. I'm actually getting a third one, or I'm just going to buy one. Thank you, thank you for your reply, I'm just at work but when I get the chance, I WILL try to remove cioscorp. I don't need to boot it from the channel since I play by the drive anyway.

Hi, I have a Korean Wii region changed to USA. I thought I had CIOSCORP installed because the seller told me it was softmodded and I could launch backup games from Disc Channel.

Well, for some reasons I decided to remove CIOSCORP and did all the tutorial said. Everything went well, but... I still can load games from the disc channel.

The uninstall failed at any point?

    Thank you guys!

Here is the sysCheck report I got at the end of the process:

Hello Ithian! Nice guide and it works! DARKCORP is no more

Just a noob question. You said in your blog that it modifies the factory-shipped IOS files with modified ones? I don't really get how IOS works but this guide "restores" or maybe "deletes" those modified IOS files, right?

and what is the purpose of choosing 249 and not others? I know its the cIOS by waninkoko, but is there some kind of reason for it or something?
"4.) With the first option highlighted, press Right on the d-pad until you reach IOS249 -> Press A"
I seem to find some apps and guide like this like wad manager. they first choose a base IOS or something before installing wads.
