Ok strangest thing. I read up about how all the 3rd party classic remotes don't really work with this program so I went to Best Buy spend 29.99 and got an official one from Nintendo. Came home plugged it in and sat down to play a few good hours of SMB1. Well first thing I noticed when I started up Homebrew is that it didn't register the classic controller inputs. The Wiimote still worked just not the classic. So I used the Wiimote to get to the program and fired it up. Same issue, the Wiimote works fine but no inputs from the Classic Controller works. It is the official as it has the clear A + B buttons and has Nintendo written on the input portion that goes into the Wiimote.

    Any ideas?
Well, wich version of those emulators you're using? i don't have the classic controler, but i play it flawlessly with a gamecube controller. If you're using old versions from those emulators, and you're using a pendrive instead of a SD/SDHC card, maybe bugs can happen.

I recommend you to update all your emulators and get the latest IOS, if I'm not mistaken that's the IOS58(someone confirm it to me please, but i'm sure that's the ios), the main purpose on this ios is to give a best suport to USB devices and another changes wich i don't remember.

Try to update these emulators. For those guys using pendrvies (like me) it's a good idea to get this new IOS, but just confirm the IOS number with someone before install please , and remember NEVE UNNINSTAL ANY IOS BELLOW 200!

I would try leaving it unplugged while launching the emulator and then try plugging it in after the emulator starts. That's how I get mine to work. I've never tried having one plugged in while launching or while in the HBC.

i have a WBFS hard drive (500gb) that i am running wii games from. Can i run these roms from this drive (i would imagine i need to add a FAT32 partition). If so, is there a preferred way of adding this partition.

    Thanks so much for this!!!

All three will run from HDD but...you are kind of screwed if your drive if fully formatted to WBFS and want to add a second FAT partition. There are no tools for resizing or shrinking WBFS. The only way you could do it would be to clear your entire drive and start over. If you are going to go through the trouble you might as well fully format it to FAT rather than WBFS.

Ok, thanks for the heads up.

I understood that the only way to run the games from a HD was to format it to WBFS and use WBFS manager to move the games to the HD.

Can i then copy the 10 games i have on the drive now to my computer, reformat it as FAT32, then copy the games back to the drive using Windows?

If you need the IOS58 v6176, you can download it with NUSD. Look here for NUSD

I keep getting the USB HD not found message with FCE Ultra and SNES9x (latest versions). The strange thing is that the forwarder channels I have installed are seeing the USB drive and running both apps off of it. Once FCE or SNES9x start, then it gives the USB HD not found message. If I unplug the USB HD and try running the forwarder channel, it says loading for a second then restarts the Wii system menu.

As a test, I removed the USB HD and put FCE and SNES9x on an SD card. When I start the channels the apps load. I can then load ROMs and play as it should.

Any ideas why FCE/SNES9x say they can't see the USB HD even though the apps are actually running from it? I use CFB USB loader and keep my Wii backups on it also and it works perfectly.

Does where I install the WAD files from make a difference? I installed them from the SD card since I can't get MMM to run properly from my USB HD-- it just freezes. Which is another question/issue all together. If anyone can help with that it would be appreciated.

    Thanks for any help!

If you are using a USB HDD and do not see the roms, go to settings, then Loading and Saving. Now highlight the Load Device and press the "A" button until USB appears, do the same for Save Device. Don't worry about saving your setting, that will be automatic when you exit the emulator. Now press the Back button a few time to get back to the roms screen.
    Have you tried this?
