I'm getting the same problem - black screen. In addition to this, I find the Wii disc tray light continuously turns on and off in a gradual fading manner. I can extend on that if anyone's confused by that. I believe that is the "bad behavior" drvipej was also describing.

I posted a thorough explanation of what happened with my errors on page 31 near the bottom.

The bootmii folder needs to be on the root of the sd card.

It is. I got SNEEK to work with the bootmii folder I used.

I can take a closer look into it if you still think this may be the case - but I attempted to run UNEEK for hours with all of the bootmii files present on the root of my SD card, and I still received this error.

    ---Edit---

Okay, I just reproduced the error. The light isn't fading, but after 66 seconds it still gives me continuous short flashes at intervals of about 1.3 seconds. The standard bootmii file structure was present on the SD card (not the USB device - and I tested it on the USB device at an earlier time and noticed no change).

which forwarder is used for uneek only? ModMii forwarder attempts to move the folders over and it then keeps freezing. I copy the folders manually and then when it starts it freezes as it keeps trying to move the folders that are not there.

Because the file structure of SNEEK and UNEEK are so similar, I'd think one forwarder would work for both. I'd think that the one that gets booted would depend on the content of the SD card. So to boot the one you want, you'd need to replace the content on/ swap the SD card.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but if you can't find a channel made specifically for UNEEK, then that is probably why.

when running sneek, is it possible to run HBC and apps from the NAND on the sd card?
With UNEEK not working yet for me I'd like to be able to use SNEEK where everything is running from my sd card and then be able to load games from my usb.

Yes, it definitely is. See my post - #316 on the previous page, I gave you the details there. The only limitation past the SD card is the hardware you have available.

Do note that you cannot use the latest version of the Homebrew channel (1.0.8) on SNEEK. You should, however, still be able to use versions 1.0.7 and below. I have heard from other members that 1.0.7 works fine, and I have verified 1.0.6 to work myself on SNEEK.

Thanks for reply and do apologize about the double question.
so what you are saying that with the gc media launcher, in theory I should be able to run my nand from my SD card and then be able to run apps from HBC such as a usb loader from the GC memory slot port as long as I run the HBC < 1.07.

Double question? No worries - doesn't really bother me. It happens to the best of us. I did figure it would be a more efficient use of space though to direct you to the post rather than just copy and paste the whole thing to another page.

To answer your questions - yes, the SD Media Launcher is particularly useful for SNEEK, but not a necessity. Instead of getting one or more adapters, you can simply use any USB device with a FAT16 or FAT32 partition. Most USB devices come this way by default as it offers more compatibility than NTFS. The SD media launcher is useful because you get two adapters in the same package - SD to Gecko, and SD to USB. This enables you to use the same SD cards in any slot. The best part isn't even that: the product comes with a disc for running Gamecube Homebrew. If you so desired, you could buy the SD Gecko adapter directly - the one that wasn't made by Datel...but it's more money for less hardware.

I'd say, just stick with a regular thumb drive for now unless you see long-term benefits from the SD Media Launcher.

And yes - you can use these on the HBC versions < 1.0.7. You can always try booting 1.0.8 and watch your Wii crash. If you have any doubts, it's useful as a learning experience just to see it for yourself.

And to any user who views this post...

Has anyone made the UNEEK work on the 0.6c installer? No one (at least no one I have found) has reported any success using UNEEK on this installer at this point. The older versions worked back in 2010...but now they fail to even download the necessary files. I welcome any suggestions. I'm still quite frustrated with this myself...
