In an effort to stop the data corruption message, i have been trying to load up a priiloader free nand. Using the nand i had the error messages on, i removed priiloader as per this guides method. When i attempt to boot sneek, a black screen persists with an unresponsive wiimote. I double checked i deleted the correct files so decided to use a nand backup from my wii before priiloader had ever been installed, and i get the same results. I'm hoping that the solution to this problem is related to the error messages i was receiving. Any idea why it won't boot a priiloader free nand????

I too am having the same issue that's been discussed on the last two pages. I re-virginized my Wii on 4.2u and tok it all the way back to out-of-the-box factory default due to having a tons of crap on it, then i re-modded using shadowsonic's guide and dumped a "fresh" NAND without priiloader installed. I then followed this guide and extracted the NAND dump as described, set up for UNEEK with a fat32 partition @32kb on my HDD and split the files as they were laid out on the tutorial. My file structure looks exactly like the guide, however SNEEK/UNEEK just will not load. It gives me a black screen if i try to load BootMii from HBC or it gives me an error from priiloader if i try to boot into BootMii from there stating "BootMii IOS failed to load".

SanDisk 2gb "Made for Wii" SD card
    cIOSX rev19 38 (249)
    Hermes' v4 202,222,223
    HDD setup= 450gb NTFS / 20GB FAT32 @32kb clusters
    priiloader 0.5 BETA
    BootMii as an IOS
    4.2u / WiiFlow 2.1a r92 / PriiLoader 0.5 BETA / BootMii / WD 500gb MyBook
    Hermes' v4 222,223 v5-202 / cIOS38 rev17 249 / FAT32 USB Loading / UNEEK

try creating new nand.....see if it loads...... get another ppcboot.elf and armboot.bin from hackmii installer......make sure bootmii.ini doesnt change the delay(it tends to do it when it doesnt load)

...banging my head on a wall

fixed ini file, and making progress. had to downgrade cIOSX rev to rev17 (stupid error on my part) to get WADmanager to work again. I no longer go into a dead boot, but rather get booted into the BootMii menu lol. working on the issue now and will repost when i get it figured out on what ive done wrong.

Edit: ok, it seems my issue stems from the custom armboot.bin file. Custom will not load however the original will boot right into bootmii without issue. im going to take a look at the link provided by another fellow here in this topic to the "SNEEK lite" sd files and see if i can get it running from that.

Edit 2: bleh, it seems that i've now hit the other side of the error fence and i no longer boot to bootmii or a black screen but rather a "No signal" so it feels like im getting closer... or further away. i dont know why this just will not work for me as i see so many others have it working just fine. Granted i like puzzles like this but im starting to get worn out, perhaps ill just wait for a SNEEK update from cred, since it seems he's working on one for the new GC loading (which is the entire reason im doing this, to get ready) ah well i guess ill look around the web for other possible solutions or try to complie it from scratch myself.

can someone please help me !

i did everything exactly how it said too for uneek
i am useing this HD Amazon.com: Western Digital My Book Essential Edition 1 TB Hard Drive:…

    i made a 30gig partion in fat32 with 32KB cluster size

this is how i try and start it up, i go to homebrew channel and hit home, then choose bootmi and wait. it goes to a black screen and stays there.

my guess is that there is somthing wrong with the hd? i used a flash drive that came with sims to test the usb part out, and it loaded fine. the WD 1tb doesnt want to do anything. i also have boot as a ios.

see that's the same thing i have, a MyBook. im going to be returning mine here shortly and moving to a WD 500gb - 1tb passport and trying again cause USB loaders tell me "waiting on your slow usb device" when they load sometimes. Ill try my 8gb thumbdrive when i get home and see if i get the same result of being able to boot UNEEK with it. On another note, i've reformatted my entire HDD to FAT32 our of frustration and will try that again tonight. I've never been able to boot SNEEK from SD either though...

On other websites ive seen reports of SNEEK being set to EUR by default and a "region.bin" being needed on the usb in a sneek folder in order to load, ive tried this and the font.bin as well with no luck. the closest ive been able to get isa grey screen with lines like it was trying to load but was out of sync, i've even tried a virgin Nand directly from NUS and still no luck.

Are all the people that are having trouble with SNEEK/UNEEK in the US perhaps? Or am i barking up the wrong tree here?

im from the US , thoe i think it has more to do with the drive then region. im trying again, if it doesnt work, i iwll try without the HACK.ini file, cause my thumb drive had nothing but the files that were listed here. and the sd has the sd ones.

i also used the nand i ripped with simple fs

another thing, before mine loads up on the flash drive it goes too a screen that has a shitload of corlored lines.. then starts. when i try with the usb drive with the same files, plus the extra apps, wad folder, i get a black screen until i turn it off.

is there anyone here that has uneek working with the Western Digital My Book Essential Edition 1 TB Hard Drive? if so tell me how you have it partioned. i have 900gigs to WBFS and 30 to FAT32 32KB cluster

since rev 88 its not an isssue you dont need region bin try adding font.bin to your sd:/font.bin.....it fixes black screen in some cases....

i compiled sneek my self and also used the installer both work....i use 320 wd...with 300wbfs & 10fat32 and 10fat32=32kb clusters no need for more since being limited to 47 channels and it wont come out to more then 1 gb...........what i did find sneek always loads ...uneek there times where it just doesnt want to load....

FIRST MAKE SURE YOU CAN LOAD BOOTMII TO MAKE A NAND BACK UP(you dont have to make a nand back up)

    Try using a sandisk...or pq1 sd card

Since it didnt want to work for you try creating new nand

Use nusd to download 4.2 system menu wad ios70v6687 and ios9,12,15,17,21,22,28,31,33,34,35,36,37,38,53,55, 56,57,61
one you download all of them put them all in one folder and create a folder on your desktop "NEW NAND 4.2"

Open showmiiwads go options and change nand back up path to "NEW NAND 4.2"...go view select showmiiwads...file open the folder with the ios wads
it should load them all...select them all right click and select extract to nand ...(the program will freeze dont worry just leave it it ll be done in 2min
after it done check your "NEW NAND 4.2" folder and you should have

    shared1
    sys
    ticket
    title

now you will need to put the files from your original fs dump into the new nand

    /title/00000001/00000002/data/iplsave.bin -- channel positioning data
/title/00000001/00000002/data/setting.txt -- contains serial number, region, etc
    /sys/cert.sys
    /sys/uid.sys -- for translating title_id -> fs owner/user ID

Ok format the sd card the allocation 512bytes.....

use the sneek installer get the armboot and boot2.bin(if doesnt work use the armboot from your bootmii installation)

    sd:/bootmii/armboot
sd:/bootmii/ppcboot.elf(use the one you got from hackmii installer)
sd:bootmii/bootmii.ini(use the bootmii Ini maker and make sure you select System menu...Video to your region....and boot delay to 0

Once all that is on the card....put it in the wii and launch bootmii.....it should be black screen...leave it like that for 10-15 min....
after 10-15min if the set up screen doesnt boot up power off by holding the power button for 10 sec take the sd..put it in the computer you should see more folder on there

    import
    meta
    shared2
    tmp

go to the bootmii folder and check the bootmii.ini delay didnt change

put the sd in the wii...launch bootmii.....it should load you to set up your wii(you may need to sync the wiimote).....
    .....
    to get pppcboot.elf from hackmiiinstaller
    go to BootMii.org
once downloaded/extract and put it in the apps folder on your sd
launch hombrew and load hackmii installer got to bootmi installation and select prepare sd card....once done exit..
you should have bootmii folder with armboot,ppcboot.elf,bootmii.ini

im going to reformat my whole drive once these games extract. i will make a 2gb fat32 partion first b4 i touch anything else on, then test, if that doesnt work then i dont know what will. lol

how would i go about getting a CLEAN NAND? i have 4.2U USA wii. but maybe something on my nand in messing it up, but then again why would the 1gig thumb drive work but not my hd with the same files and format?

i take it this would be it?
Use nusd to download 4.2 system menu wad ios70v6687 and ios9,12,15,17,21,22,28,31,33,34,35,36,37,38,53,55, 56,57,61
one you download all of them put them all in one folder and create a folder on your desktop "NEW NAND 4.2"

    lol
