Exclamation The Ultimate Fix for SSBB and Quick Fix For GH5, WSR, RS2, and MH3!

This tutorial was written to give back to the WiiHacks.com community! Thank you all and lets continue to help.

    What you will need:

    1.) A Modded Wii.

    Suggested Tutorials:
Softmod for ANY 4.2 Wii! by ShadowSonic2
New 3.1-4.1 Softmod for ANY Wii by Dogeggs
The 4.3 Softmod Guide by mauifrog

If you modded using the 4.3 guide please make sure to delete the .bin file from this location:
    SD/private/wii/app/rsbe/st

Thanks NewYorkStyledCheesecakes from the comments below!

2.) This package: Click Here To Download
Note that the preceding package includes USB Loader GX v2.0 which does not carry over the game settings from previous versions! So do not install if you don't want to make all those changes again!

    3.) Super Smash Bros. Brawl
    ***THE FULL ISO (7.92GB)***

Now that we have everything you need lets begin:

    Part A: Extraction

1.) Extract the "Wii WBFS Manager" folder to your desktop.
2.) Extract the "cios_222_installer_rev4", "cios_installer_rev5.1", and the "usbloader_gx" folder into the apps folder of your SD or SDHC card.

    Part B: Primary Installation

*Wifi is necessary for this part on the Wii console*

*DO NOT GET THE FOLLOWING INSTALLERS CONFUSED*

    (!) cIOS 222 installer v4 - IOS 222/223

This is to get MOST GAMES working at 100% such as SSBB, GH5, WSR, RS2, and MH3.

1.) Insert the SD/SDHC card with the two folders from above into your wii.
2.) Boot up the homebrew channel.
3.) Select "(!) cIOS 222 installer v4" and click load.
    4.) Select IOS 249 and click A.
5.) Select "Install Custom IOS 222 (Default)"
6.) Select "Use IOS 38 merged with IOS 37"
7.) After the process is done load up "(!) cIOS 222 installer v4" again.
    8.) Select IOS 249 and click A.
9.) Select "Install Custom IOS 223"
10.) Select "Use IOS 38 merged with IOS 60"
11.) This will then put you back into the homebrew channel.

    (!) cIOS 222 installer v5 - IOS 202/224

This is to get games working at 100% that require IOS 57 such as COD:BO

1.) Select "(!) cIOS 222 installer v5" and click load.
    2.) Select IOS 249 and click A.
    3.) Select "Install Custom IOS 224 v65535"
    4.) Select "Use IOS 57"
5.) After the process is done load up "(!) cIOS 222 installer v5" again.
    6.) Select IOS 249 and click A.
7.) Select "Install Custom IOS 202 v65535 (Homebrew)"
    8.) Select "Use IOS 60"
9.) This will then put you back into the homebrew channel.

    Part C: WBFS

1.) On your desktop open the "Wii WBFS Manager" and select "WiiBackupManager.exe"
2.) Now go to the top and select the "Options" tab and select "Settings.."
3.) Under the general tab select "Keep game partition only"
    4.) Now click "OK"
5.) Under the "Files" tab select "Add" and find your SSBB ISO.
6.) At this point the file of your SSBB in WFBS should show 6.93GB. If it isn't that size then that means either steps 1-3 weren't done FIRST before porting it in OR you are using the scrubbed version of SSBB which is NOT originally 7.92GB.
7.) Click on the "Drive 1" and select "Drive" and find the drive of your WBFS.
*NOTE* I HIGHLY recommend this manager because it allows you to keep your FAT32 format while adding wbfs formatted games!
8.) Go back to the "Files" tab and check the box next to the SSBB iso.
9.) Click on the "Transfer" tab and select Drive 1.
10.) If you are using a FAT32 drive, at about 4.00GB the process will freeze slightly! This is normal and the reason is it creates the proper partition of the game to fit it onto the drive.
11.) When this is done plug this USB Drive into your Wii.

    * RIGHT MOST USB PORT if LOOKING FROM THE BACK*

Which USB Loader GX version are you using? 1.0 rXXX See Part D-1, 2.0 See Part D-2.

    Part D-1: USB Loader GX v1.0 r937 - rXXX

1.) Open up the homebrew channel and select USB Loader GX.
2.) Go to the gears icon (settings) and select "Game Load"
3.) Please set these as so:

    Video Mode: Disk Default
    VIDTV Patch: OFF
    Game Language: Console Default
    Patch Country Strings: OFF
    Ocarina: OFF
    Boot/Standard: IOS 222
Partition: (This should be already set to the usb drive so leave this.)
    Fat: Use directories: None
    Quick Boot: No
    Error 002 fix: Anti
    Install Partitions: Game partition
    Install 1:1 Copy: No

Go back and then back again... These settings will be saved since USB Loader GX is run through the SD card and not through the channel.

Part D-2: USB Loader GX v2.0

1.) Open up the homebrew channel and select USB Loader GX.
2.) Go to the gears icon (settings) and select "Loader Settings"
3.) Please set these as so:

    Video Mode: Disk Default
    VIDTV Patch: OFF
    Game Language: Console Default
    Patch Country Strings: OFF
    Ocarina: OFF
    Boot/Standard: IOS 222
Partition: (This should be already set to the usb drive so leave this.)
    Install Directories: Gamename [GAMEID]
Game Split Size: Split each 4GB
    Quick Boot: No
    Error 002 fix: Anti
    Install Partitions: Only Game partition
    Return To: Off
    Message Board Update: On

Go back and then back again... These settings will be saved since USB Loader GX is run through the SD card and not through the channel.

4.) Return to the Homebrew Channel.
5.) Load up USB Loader GX again as it will load in the new settings.
6.) Run Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

12.) Now select Wii Sports Resort and then go to "Settings" and go to "Game Load".

Could be one of 2 things, this could mean that you have the wiisrubbed version of the iso which is not 7.92gb or that you didnt change the settings in the WBFS manger FIRST... sorry about that I had it wrong i changed the steps so try part C again with the 7.92 iso and let me know the result. btw when you change the setting in the WBFS manager the size of SSBB should be 6.93GB.

Which version of SSBB do you have? NTSC or PAL?

Try to install the newer version of USB Loader GX that I have compiled in the package and run it from the SD card. I also was having some problems running games through the USB Loader GX channel. I also made sure to put ALL the settings of my USB Loader GX in Part D Step 3 earlier today make sure they all match.

Just remember that 7.92GB is the size of the full ISO but the RAR file is around 7645MB (if you are using torrent sites such as btjunkie).

NO linking to "warez" --- that can be easily a Reading Room offense. Wiihacks does not condone piracy or linking to "warez."
