Wish i would have saw this guide and post before sending my wii to nintendo regarding the ssbb problem. Lets just say i got a nasty e-mail and my Wii back in the same shape it left in. I simply deleted the extra channels using the wii and formated the system, and they still found it.

You must have installed IOS249 via homebrew first...

Well if you softmodded your wii then what ever guide you were following should have had you install IOS249... You can try hacking guide in my sig and maybe this will fix any problem you are having w/ homebrew.

everything went ok, I was able to remove everything and then ran a system update without issue.

My only concern is that I need to send my wii back, and while everything is gone there are entries today from the usb loader in my playtime history there are like five 1 second entries, oddly enough I didn't use the loader today. There are no prior entries in the history for the loader.

Any ideas and do you think the history will be searched when I send it in?

If you did the format wii system memory then it should have removed all history entries... Unless you have wifi games that you have saves for you wouldn't lose anything

yeah, 150 hours into MH3, and I don't want to loose that. Thanks, I decided to simply buy a replacement drive and pop it in the wii myself as opposed to waiting to nintendo to fix and finding the history messages. saved myself $35 in the process.

This would work except for 1 thing, I never downloaded/installed the Homebrew channel. I was tryna unlock my wii, & I guess I accidentally installed a Boot 1 for version 4.1 or lower on my wii, instead of the Boot 2 for my version, being 4.2U. So now when I try to unlock it, it says I can't since I installed Boot 1, it prevents me from installing boot 2, so should I just install Homebrew channel 1st? & if so, can u give me the link to the thread on that on here?
