And because I can't get all the files to load at once......only 2168 blks at a time (why I don't know) so I have to download the songs thru the music store. It took me over an hour to download 10 songs.

IMac007, this is because you need to load the game through Waninkoko's cIOS, it fixes this glitch, Hermes's doesn't.

I don't understand your problem.

1. Are you saying not all songs you downloaded are showing in the Quickplay when you load the game.
2. You goto the Music Store and you can only download 2168 blocks.
If the answer is no. 2, then there is nothing wrong with this. Cause the game expects the maximun nos. of available blocks on a wii nand to be 2168. i.e. a wii with no other saves or data on it's nand.
After you dowloaded the max. allowable block, the same nos. of block will be made available for your next download even without restarting the game.
BUt you don't need to download thru the Music Store. Using the PCTools to download everything and transfer to your Uloader, all the songs will show up. No extra step is needed. (Only the Rockband series : RB2 and TBRB need to update the save files)

ok simple question i am trying to use this pc tools for gh i get throught the download stage and try to run decrypter and it does 3 of the files and hangs always on the same file any ideas why

That file could be corrupt. Make note of the ones it hangs on and go to the list notepad and delete just those files and try re-downloading them. Then run the decryptor again. That should fix your problem.

I would have also a question: if I was to search for specific songs for Guitar Hero DLC, do you think it might help to just perform an http request to the Nintendo NUS files and see the Last modified response header in order to match that one with the dates published on Wikipedia (GH DLC when it appeared)? Anyone tried? Otherwise I might try to write a little tool doing that. It should in theory give at least the possibility to download fewer files than everything.
I now did that for the current list.txt s provided in the pack of this thread. Results are somewhat weird, dates coincide more or less, strange thing is that certain contents seem to be there 3x with slight variations (on size and time) for GH5 list.
I have Uloader (latest) installed, configured GH5 to run with CIOS 223, set GH5 to use DLC from nand2 on USB, copy savegame from nand to usb. Then I used the pc tools (with right console id) and did step 1, 2, edited list.txt to download fewer, step 3, step 4 and step 6. Merged the contents to the nand2 folder and tried to run GH5. Unfortunately none of the songs appears on the list. I checked the nand2 folder and it seems to use that data, but there are no songs in the Options/rockarchive present.
Any suggestions, what am I doing wrong (apart from not downloading everything)?

Check the ticket/00010005 folder the required tik files need to be inside. 73584545.tik for GH5 and the other tik. for GHSH, GHWT and BH.
