thanks, im not that noobish to not have homebrew channel. i put wads on my wii all the time and i did the rockband dlc hack. i run all my games off a harddrive. but the ios needed for the rockband i already had installed. thanks

edit: ok i looked at the instructions you showed me but when do i select ios56 heres what it says on the site

    Patching System Menu IOS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    1) Start Dop-IOS MOD via Homebrew Channel. Press '''A''' to continue. Select a trucha-signed IOS and press '''A''' again once the IOS has successfully loaded.

    2) Select IOSs. From this menu you can choose to "dop" any IOS installed on your system.

"Dop"-ing the IOS that your system menu uses will allow you to load custom channels that have been moved to the SD menu (on 4.0< system menus).
Use the left/right buttons on your wiimote to choose the IOS that corresponds to your current system menu version:
    System Menu 3.0-3.3 IOS30
    System Menu 3.4 IOS50
    System Menu 4.0-4.1 IOS60
    System Menu 4.2 IOS70

    3) After selecting your IOS, press A at each prompt to apply the necessary patches.

IMPORTANT! If you had a previous installation of Preloader/Priiloader, you must immediately reinstall Preloader/Priiloader to avoid the garbled "System Files are Corrupt" brick!

You should now have a patched system menu IOS!

can you show me what to do to get the ios56 patched. i dont want to brick my wii!

    hi there!

i've installed all wads for pal and they did work fine and unlocked all songs, but I have some problems. Several songs from GH5 store need the free GH World Tour updates, so I downloaded them but they still don't work. Also, even though the updates are in the Wii Memory, the store let me download (and overwrite) them again, with the same result.

moreover, when I try to download any song from RB2 store, it returns to main menu and says "error 200106".

    can anybody help me?

Andrew6.688, the directions are pretty clear, not sure what else I could add. There was no need to paste the article in here, everyone has the link for it.

pajarillo, try uninstalling twice any wads you have problems with, then re-install. Also the GHWT Update files were being troublesome for me also, I had to try and download them quite a few times. They can be gotten with the PC tools (if you know what you are doing) and put on a SD card, I was thinking about making a package for them. The GHWT imports / fixes are in the sYOE/P group.

I'm not sure if this is an incompatibility of my SD card, or if it has to do with the fact that I'm running the game off of USB, but it refuses to acknowledge that I have an SD card in my Wii. It says "The device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used" or something to that effect.

Everything else works absolutely perfect. I can download every single song on the list, but the Wii's internal memory only holds 5 or 6 songs!

I'm using Configurable USB Loader. I tried loading the game with cIOS38 rev17 and Hermes' cIOS (I don't remember what rev it is, probably 3 or 4). Does anyone know of a setup that allows the SD card to work right? Or would that error indicate a problem with the card itself?

RB2 only works with standard SD cards (usually 2GB or smaller). It does not work with SDHC cards.

you can only use SD cards, not SDHC cards, for now on! Hope they fix this soon!

Oh wow, that's kinda lame. The only 2GB card I have died a while back. Guess when I get some money I'll just have to buy another one, and live with what I have til then (I mean, it IS every song for free).

    Thanks for the info guys!

I have the same problem. I used PC tools into put the songs onto the SD card (4GB, same card used with RB2 before adding the files with PC tools) Running a retail disc. Now since adding the songs to the card RB2 says it can't use the SD card installed! What should I do to troubleshoot?

There is to be no direct download links to pirated material [ie DLC packs]. All your links have been removed for the DLC...

    GREAT topic! ^^

it does work in my 3.3U chip mode with a backup of RB2 loaded in USB Loader GX. i could download from store/put in SD card and play all the songs i wanted!

the only thing i cannot do is to load in RB2_DLC_Manager in my pc... it recognizes my SD and i show the paths to were my .BINs are but it doesnt show in the program! i tried to move the .bin from my SD to the folder DLC in the \Ultimate Rock Band 2 Generations Collection\DLC\sZAE and click on "Refresh DLC Collection" but nothing shows up... =/

    what can be happend?
