No, it's using internal LAN to transmit the data. Any network traffic monitoring software you might use will not differentiate though so be aware.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I was able to dump via wifi a game as an iso. I then burned that image on a dvd. I supposedly installed dvdx but do not know how to use it. How do I check to see if the backup works? Is there a tutorial on using dvdx or mplayer if that is what is it called? three guesses, I am a newbie.

    Hi.
So how about a tutorial on dumping to USB key or external USB drive? For the life of me I can not get this to work. Not sure why.
Dumping over Wifi works fine, but its slow and once you dump to another machine with wifi I have to put it onto a USB external drive anyway. I would like to cut out the wifi middle man and dump straight to USB.
Does this require any custom IOS files to work with the wii? Using Waninkoko v1.2 with no issues other then this. Maybe the mods could help out here as it seems I am not the only one with the USB not working.

Quite simple way to see if a backup works. Burn it to disc, then put it in your wii. You will soon know if it works or not.

My .ISO files all sem to come out at around 4.6-4.7GIG, after i use the settin for single layer disc.
Never tried the other two options as i don't have game cube discs nor do i want them.Nor do i use dual layer discs.
Best thing to do is burn your ISO file to disc after patching it with BrickBlocker and see how it plays on your Wii.
