    When I am on the Prriloader's system menu and then select system menu hacks, I get an error saying that it could not find any system menu hacks for v417. When I go to my Wii's system menu my disc channel wants to update..
    Never mind, I got it solved. I thought I have a 4.1 system menu; I actually have 4.0 U. Did I just caused a data corruption on my Wii?

    You should be fine.

    @Ithian Nice thread, 1question though, is there a reason why you edit the hacks.ini before installing? I always just install with a fresh one and then change the settiing in the "system menu hacks"

    @Baboo, Did you mean me or is it another thread you were refering to.
    You edit the hacks.ini for the system you use. The original hacks.ini is a file with all systems in it.
    Then you change the settings for the hacks you require.

    The question I have now, is I installed the hackini file and it all works great but then I enable prevent wii from update, I can't get onto my internet at all, I have to disable it first then go and test my connection and then be online with my wii. Is this hack suppose to work like that or am I missing something in the setup. I would still like to be able to be online but just prevent a update from ever happening.

    Thanks

    This is the code for 4.1E block online update.

    [Block Online Updates]
    version=450
    offset=0x8168F110
    value=0x6E756C6C

    You should be able to use your internet as normal. If someone was to try and update on line it would prevent it.
    Maybe you have the code for the wrong region.

    it means in the hacks.ini file you delete everything except the lines that end with your wii firmware so 4.2U only leave 481
