Followed your tut but no bootmii

    Hello Erikie,

I followed your tut, everything worked allright but when i start my wii the blue light flashes (once) drive is not spinning (makes no sound at all) SD with bootmii is placed, but screen stays black, no bootmii. Any ideas what i can try next?
Do you allso know what is needed to connect to the mobo to start bootmii to test it(drive, front, fan)? Or is just the mobo enough?

    Thanks in advance!

    Kind regards, Cees.

bootmii always gives 2 flashes so something is wrong with your flash.
Bootmii runs with only mobo without wifi and bluetooth.

    Unhappy Bricked Wii, No BootMii.

But if you run into a brick try first the most obvious problems as Gamecube controller for rescue menu, replace bluetooth module etc.

This is your last but a very good option to save your wii.
I am getting more experienced with this every day. Did some already and going to do lots more in the near future for others
Is it possible to flash the Wii with an infectus even though I have no BootMii?

as long as you have a nand backup of your own wii you can always flash it back with an infectus.
Although I would only recommend that if you have bricked your wii and not for fun

I had to come here thread to write my problem, other thread is no longer supported by author.

I have two wii-s, one wii have Hynix chip and other have Sammy chip.
Hynix Wii have some kind of hardware failure, not bricked. It can not be fixed, i think.

Sammy wii have no bootmii installed on console, but it had full NAND dump (nand version Boot1C). Boot1c is version and all keys it have.

Now i have problem my Infectus TSOP reader reads out Hynix chip but not Sammy chip. Frist try TSOP reader reads out Sammy chip, but now it's not reading sammy out. What will be the problem Samsung chip not read out but Hynix chip reads out well.

Do i can put the sammy nand dump to hynix chip and wii is restored? (use it as sammy chip) I try'd it and wii doing nothing

I have Bootmii as Boot2 installed Nand dump from another Wii.

How i can resolve problem with sammy chip and restore wii from original Boot1c nand dump? I write dump to hynix chip first time and rechecked the dump, what i read out from hynix chip but there was no key's.

    Thnx for helpful help.

Hello Pspfriday. I have been expecting you to continue posting with your issues. I suggest that you repost your newest issue in the thread that you have been posting in. All though the thread has limited support from the original author, Streamlinehd will be able to help you as much as he can. He is more likely to see your post in that thread.

It does not matter if you use a samsung or hynix chip both work fine. So if you have a valid dump of the bricked wii flash it in a chip you can flash too and solder it back.
If ithat does not work you probably have not used the correct keys for encryption...

Its possible theres bad blocks in different locations that would stop it from booting.

But it would need to be in the boot2 range or just very unlucky in the rest of the nand. Sounds more like its not programming right or its not refitted correctly.

Leave Infectus after flashing the NAND?

Would you advice to leave the infectus chip after flashing i.e. for future bricks or should i remove it after flashing the NAND?

    Thanks in advance.

    Grtz, Richard.
