the only thing I can think of is that you do not install the infectus driver out of the list. If you do not do this then you can not click on the connect button. If you don't see the infectus driver then you need to install libusb library from my first post

I'm still working on my issues.. Yes I did not create a *.inf file. I did so then found the nand, started the dump, but it only dumped a only got 1/4 of it. Shut down the wii and rebooted the pc. Fired up the wii then plugged in chip. Now I get errors like 0x0200, 0xACAD, 0x0800, everyone was different.

I have seen this posted a few different places all over the net. So I am sorry for who every posted first for not giving credit

Wii Blackout, No Video Possible fix

I just ran into this exact problem when my new component cables arrived today. If you, like me, have been running with composite cables, these are the steps to get into 480p mode:

    - turn off wii
    - connect component cables to wii
    - connect GREEN component cable end to COMPOSITE input
    - turn on wii, you should see the menu in black/white
    - go to wii setup and now you can select EDTV/HDTV mode, as soon as you do, the screen will go blank.
    - unplug from COMPOSITE input and plug into appropriate COMPONENT and audio inputs.
    - you should now see your wii menu in 480p
    -enjoy!

    Good luck!

    I found it here

Just finished my first dump I used Xavbox Programmer 1.0.0.7 to pull a full dump. It is the correct size. I have not got hex editing yet, but already seeing a problem. I opened it in wiinand v0.2 and it could not find any keys. I tried nandextract 0.1.3 and it didn't find anything. For fun. I opened my dump in wiinand v0.2 and a good bootmii dump side by side. In the first tab most of the numbers and file structures are the same or very close.

SO what can be done with a wii that the keys are gone? Is there a universal set I could use to bring this one back to life? I have been reading some something like that but haven't put it all together yet. Thank you, I'm getting there, I just like to hit every pot hole I can.

keys are stored in the hollywood chip, not in the nand.

only way to get keys is have something run on the wii and extract them (like bootmii)

If you dont have a working nand backup, the only wiis you can fix are ones that allowed bootmii as boot2, as you can flash bootmii directly into the nand and this will let you get into bootmii, which from there you can fix your wii

    Angry another korean wii brick...

first of all hello world ! i'm new to this forum and this is my first post. looking for some help of course...

    here's my situation.

i have a bricked wii Korean version... it was bought almost 2 years go from Dubai, and after upgrading to 4.2 it's a genuine brick, thanks to Nintendo smar**ss which steal money from ppls, forcing them to buy new consoles... any way...
it's bricked for 1 year or something like this. well known " error 003 unauthorized device "
i don't have any backup nothing, but i am willing to do anything to unbrick this console...

i tried the reset + power button trick and nothing happen. I don't have a GameCube controller so i can try it, but i assume this console it's fully bricked.

bricked wii details (case): C/RVL KOR
    model: RVL-001(KOR)
    NIN-RVL-001KOR-20(8)
    2008/12
    motherboard details:
    nintendo c/rvl-cpu-20 opc 1298mr 94v0

i want to read the content of the nand flash memory and try to fix it. anyone know the best way to do that? is there any way to extract the keys in my situation?
i don't have an infectus jtag... but i am planing to simply read the nand as a sd card

    waiting for some options

    thanks!

too bad your wii is bricked without a method of fixing. You cannot fix this one with an infectus as you don't have a nand backup. There is no way to fix it without the keys from your hollywood chip...
Your only hope is a fix for the 003 error which is not easy or impossible

    Talking

someone correct me if i'm wrong...
this is what i figure it out after google-ing all day..

wii processor has one key and the nand memory has another.
the boot files and everything is stored in nand memory.
the keys differs by region, each region has it's set of keys, so when you update to v4.2 from other region then the processor one, bam! u got a nice white brick, thanks to nintendo!
so, if i'm not wrong the nand memory contains the original key used to encrypt the files, once you access the nand you could find that key. (no matter what version you have)
if you have a previously version of any system files stored in nand (not encrypted) you can encrypt it with your bricked key you extracted, then write your flash and you got yourself an un-bricked wii, then you can update to v4.2 for Korean wii's.

    am i right?
